November 22

You can crash at my place. Bring Age if she can make it.

I get off work at 8, so I am getting there at 8:30. You should see the exhibit I am working at on (not mine but helping with) as well. We could kick on Sunday.

After work on Saturday I recorded this. Just trying to unwind. I love how primitive the recording is. It was fun to just record this little moment with my laptop's built in equipment.

Be sure to listen to the version a few posts down if you are having a hard time hearing it. Mostly I recorded it so I could verify if how my impressive my bobbing head looks whilst strumming, but I liked the feel of it and thus posted it.

that sounded pretty good, but more volume! There was some great mirror face in there as well.

Kickin' with Josh and Jeff was rad on Sunday. Josh hit blurry barrage and made my weekend.

Ian went off too.

I had 2 good runs, then i was tuckered out. And then my knee hurt today.

There's a small juggling event in Sewickly next weekend, any SCFers who want to go, lemme know!

That trick is called "massacre."

Is the girl talk show sold out yet? I want to go, but I need to check on my plans for that weekend.

I don't think the Girl Talk show is sold out yet. If you click on the link you should be able to check.

It is very possible that the show will sell out at some point. Usually they sell out immediately, but that is why he booked a venue that can hold 1,700.

It's gonna be massive.

Hey, I know where Sewickly is! Any more info on this? However, I doubt if I can make it.

Edit: who's the girl hitting pixie massacre?

Oh yeah.

Kicked with Matt. Unexpected, last-minute session, after the exhibit I am working on got a cease and desist.

Matt hit fusion, blurriest and pixie paradon in the same string.
Plenty of other things as well.

Personal highlights:
Stronger stepping sets. I need to work on my left side blur and right side steps-out-of-other things than clippers.
Stronger spinning sets, into butterflies and pm's

Hahahahaha, Tripp, that was funny. I laughed at work.

I'm enraged at the fire chief. Zee was the coolest thing Pittsburgh has been affiliated with in pretty much forever. How about I offer up two rooms in my apartment, and the exhibit can finish its run guerrilla style? And, as an added supplement to reinforce the defiance, I'll have NWA's "fuck the police" on loop in the foyer.

Word up, bringing Austrian performance art back to tha streets.

rotflmao

It wasn't the fire dept.. I would go into details but not on the internetz.

Oh, and if you want to take a run to pianos and stuff with me so we can rent some gear, I am down to run an homage. Let the fog roll thick in friendship pgh!

Sold. Age and I will probably drive up on Saturday and leave early Sunday. I'd be down for a light, indoor shred. If you guys can find a spot, let's play.

Looking forward to seeing you!

I have the whole darn day available. And there are multiple places for sweet shred spots. I may have a golden one for the begining of winter, but no promises at this point.

pixie massacre
alpine pixie dlo
fairy miraging flail
alpine fusion

I hit these tricks in front of the recording device today. It would have been easier if my stupid ankle wasn't swollen! I'm getting it replaced with robot parts.

The Flail on Pixie Massacre was kinda thin, but the rest was awesome.

Matt, you rock.

Yeah, I think both flails were pretty bad to be honest, but I decided to just use them anyway.

I'm pretty stoked with alpine fusion, though, it's clean. I was afraid that I just thought I was hitting it, and when I reviewed the footage they would all just be weird alpine legbeaters. I frame by framed it just to be totally sure.

Kicked with Matt

Personal highlights:
*bunch of drifters on left side, couple on right
*weak side twirls
*right paradox whirl tries worked and were last minute thoughts mid-string
*kicked ripstein again
*right side gyro mirage-string-left spinning pm-string
*footed diving dyno again, I should really just dial this already.
*two/two weak side swirls in the beginning of session.
*Toyed with the motion for weak side ripstein and got reasonably close to it once
*Some blurs on both sides. I really need to school stepping sets more
*Felt much closer to barfly and dt paradons, but still not there
*had a couple awesome strings
