been cleaning up my sets and working really hard for my routine for the us open, i havent been working on anything else but getting better, but everyone does that ;)

I'm starting to be able to throw some good shuffle with ease, i am coming sooooo close to rubber man, but my flip atom smasher is weighing me down i think, i need to drill it.oo ive been drilling fairy set and flip pixie such fun sets cant wait blah i can only think of a couple highlights really

steppins same clip > shmoe > dimwalk rpt x 2
dimwalk >ripwalk> stepping legover rpt x2
plo >dimwalk > stepping legover consistently
blur >legbeater > bs really easy now almost on command

bs blur > phoenix

ooooooo and the good ones i forgot about

blurrage and quantum dlo :0

ok so more thna a couple but the first combos arent really highlights, more of an image to show where i'm at right now in my game. I cant wait for the Uso, its such a sick event, i keep saying this but oh well, it is waht it is!
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.

Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.

have been drilling stuff thats been giving me a tough time, like flip pixie, flip whirling tricks and a couple flip stepping tricks, my flip atomic is becoming easier and easier, i can step out of legbeater and tapdown on both sides now fairly consistently. ive also been working on spinning and im getting it now! ( thanks Sam K for the advice at the USO) I`m gunna find a way to make a video and put it up on youtube to show where my game is currently at thats really it for now, here are some cool combos i hit today

legbeater > DLO bsos

a run with tap>legbeater> ripwalk > almost bsos

barfly > osis > pdx mirage > tapdown >

shmoe > dlo bsos

there might be more
i dont remember

I`m liking that my shuffle is coming together like i said ill try to post a vid

I havent posted in my blog in what seems like for ever so here goes!

Ive been playing alot lately with jim and feel like ive improved more in the last 3 months than i have in the last 2 years. my flip pixie is starting to be strong and atomic both sides is starting to be pretty easy as well. I had to completely re learn stepping because for some reason the way I used to do it was DESTROYING my shins. I was finding it very difficult to shred because of to much pain, now that Im learning to be more on my toes most of the pain is going away. I also injured my knee from just doing toe stall! dont really know how that worked out. its not really bothering me at the moment, but I can always feel a pain in the lower portion of my knee.

yesterday while shredding I hit a new trick, atomic barrage :D 3rd new triple dex this week. the weather is so nice today, supposed to get up to 65ish so me, jim, benny, spencer and zeb are going to kick outside should be a good time.

Count me in! I could use a good outside shred, and maybe some frisbee golf too. Yeah, it's nice out. Isn't there a session at Garfield tomorrow too?

have been shredding so much lately!

some highlights ( cant remember all of them)
----------------------------------------------------
- blur > toe blur > legbeater > 10+ guiltless string
- atomic symp mirage bs
- atombomb off my foot a couple times
- new ripwalk record of 9
- new plo record of 12
- tap > legbeater > ripwalk > blur > rpt
- pixie barrage
- blurrage
- ps whirl
- (starting on flip) tap > atomsmasher > tripwalk > pdx DLO > 6 contacts guiltless

the weather has been so nice here recently, roughly 80 and not a drop of wind or clouds, which is perfect shred weather IMHO.Its supposed to rain tomarrow which sucks but oh well, would be a good day to recover and rest.
because of this weather Ive also been disc golfing quite a bit as well (which Im horrible at), Im slowly getting better. Im having a hard time grasping the concept of making the disc go straight lol. Every time I throw it, it curves to the right ( Im a lefty). Im thinking by the end of the summer I might have it down, hopefully

one month from tomarrow (May 23rd) Im heading back to my home town of swan valley for the summer, which on one hand sucks because Ill have no one to shred with other than my self for 3-4 months, but on the other hand Ill be making some mad cash, I really have no problem shredding solo as I still find it fun, its just that shredding with others is way more entertaining in my eyes. theres really nothing to do in that small little town but outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, boating, biking, hiking etc which is fun and all but it gets really old really fast. most of my family is pretty much redneck in a way, they dont really like cities and they where jeans and cowboy hats and such, drive around there trucks and go fishing.... ALOT. which is not me in anyway, I don't know why Im so different from the rest of my family, because I would rather live in a bigger city/ town any day and drive a car with good mpg and would rather take a bike ride around the green belt here in B town ( boise).

besides all that, with my free time Ive been trying to learn German. Its been going great and I feel that If I were placed in Austria or Germany that I would be able to converse with the locals and survive( even knowing most Germans and Austrians speak English anyway >.< ) maybe it will be useful if I goto worlds in Berlin?

man life has been crazy.

one month ago I moved away from Boise, to Provo Utah. Im now going to school down here and loving it. however I miss being able to shred with the Genz family and Jim. that hasnt stopped me from shredding at all though.

here are some highlights from todays session:

quantum osis > barrage bs
tripwalk > blur > atomsmasher > pig beater bs
sidewalk > ripwalk rpt x 4
fairy legover > pixie ss clip > blur rpt
fairy illusion > quantum ss butter bs and eventually bsos

phoenix > pdx torque > almost stepping pdx dlo working on this link as a sick 3

**EDIT**
fairy legover >quantum legover rpt woot woot!

Im 99% going to NYJ, which Im so excited for. Ive been wanting to go for a long time now and Im finally getting the chance to go.

I havent posted in my blog in a long time, so here goes it.

Ive got back into shredding, and im playing really hard. Im also In school for a Bachelor's of science in kinesiology now and im loving every bit of it. Im learning alot about the body, and what to do about injuries I obtain in footbag and what to do about them and its really paying off. my shin splints are going away, Im able to play longer and harder because of a change in nutrition, and im beginning to understand the simple things someone can do to better them selves physically.

Im better than I ever have been single trick wise, and almost string wise. Im getting to the point were i have fairy, atomic, pixie, quantum, and ducking sets both sides, and strongly. my flip whirls showed up out of know where and if you know me, you would know thats the weakest concept of my game. Joshua M. gave me a little advice that i never really thought of doing and bam, not only was flip whirl hit like 1st try every time, but i was hitting it out of ripwalk, dimwalk, fairybeater, leg beater, and a few other tricks. of course I made sure to do this on both sides. I was able to hit half of rubberman on both sides, first try, but couldnt manage to put them together. oh well, I know ive hit rubberman several times so it will come back eventually, I just have to work on it.another concept that bugs the living crap out of me is spinning. I would love to have spinning down. Josh M. gave me some advice on this as well but I didnt really work on spinning this session. It just makes me so dizzy trying to do it, on both sides, which I know means Im doing it wrong, but hopefully the adive givin to me today clears that up a bit. I should have drilled double downs today, because i was able to hit barfly b2b the other day no problem. but oh well I cant fit everything into a sesh all of the time I guess.

I was asked by a couple people as to why I had stopped playing a few months ago, and it was simply because I have no one to play with down here in mormonville. In Idaho I guess the reason I always wanted to play was because I basically lived in a shred house with Jim penske and my bro, so we always played.I contribute my coming back to the game to my medical classes honestly. muscle movements, how they get the energy to move, and how that energy is used was just so interesting to me. I had an assignment where i was to workout and to take note of what muscles were being isolated in what plane of motion. first thing I thought of was footbag, so I picked my old nick landes bag up and started playing. I noticed even though I havent played in 5+ months i was still able to hit almost everything I could before and this surprised me. I also noticed that my string length had gone WAY down, but that was to be expected, so it didnt really bother me. after I had finished my small assigment I had realized that I had just had fun playing footbag alone again. and ever since then every time I pick up the bag its fun to me again.

in 2 weeks my classes get over and im heading to Boise to chill and shred for a couple weeks with the crew, which should be fun. magically without knowing Im arriving in Boise at roughly the same time Jay boychuk is. which wasnt planned at all. It will be good to kick with him again. I was thinking about working on a routine for worlds, but then decided I really didnt want to compete at all. I know its good for me and all, to get the experience and what not, so ill probably compete in circles or something, but I probably wont be putting a routine together. this will be my first worlds Ive ever been to. shred isnt even at the top of my list of things I want to do there. I really mainly want to go for the fact that I will most likely meet alot of the players Ive wanted to meet for a long time now. Ive also never been to cali so Im pretty excited for that as well. this may be the longest blog post Ive ever typed but, maybe Ill make a habit out of something like this.

ok so enough blah blah blah, highlights for some of my last few sessions:

flip whirl and strong whirl out of dimwalk, fairybeater, ripwalk, and legbeater - not a big deal for most, but if youve known me for long, youd know im mostly a toe player

atomsmasher x 7 the other day

alpine fairy beater > pdx whirl

phoenix > pdx whirl

fairy ducking whirl

12 tripless the other day(dimwalk > blur > legbeater > ripwalk >ripwalk > pdx whirl >ducking butter > blur > atomsmasher > legbeater > blur > atomsmasher> pixie whirl (drop)

thats my best yet I think.

fairy barrage

atomic barrage

atomic whirl

atomic simp mirage bs

ps whirl

what annoys me is that all of the " whirl " tricks were almost all one sided, except for my first highlight :)

thats all I can really think of for now. Until next time fizzied

so I did juggle, and I did disc golf, but I also went back on my word and played footbag, and it was a great session, accompanied by Mr.Boychuk via webcam I hit a handful of new tricks and footed many more that I know I will soon hit

far dyno - odd that ive never tried this, because it seemed to easy

Janiwalker!111111111!!!!one!!! - this move made me a little angry because i was having a hard time with barrages and then Jay told me to hit Nemesis and jokingly tried tried the set only to land jani first try o.O hit it a couple more times during the night.

Quantum DLO - not entirely new but i havent hit it in probably over 9 months so i was pretty stoked

fairy illusion > toe blur on a slick floor

many strings with 12-15+ contacts, which isnt that impressive, but my string length is slowly getting higher again which im happy about

had a string of tiltless when i was warming up that was 70+ contacts I stopped counting at like 60ish but know i hit atleast 10 more from there

there was more there but I cant remember it all, when I think of it ill post it

on the list of "footed" stuff

pixie ss dyno > barroque (wut)

fairy ducking whirl

fairy simp whirl

ps egg - ive hit this but havent begun to really try it again until now

i have a final in my kinesiology class tommorrow so i probably wont play
but day after tommorrow I will, and I will be back to drilling whirling and spinning for sure

hey zac! i feel like we are on very similar playing levels, so i guess that means we are competition for each other at uso and worlds  but i would love to play with you at those events, i think we could push each other to play at our highest levels! check out my blog, and youll see that i have some similar shuffly drills and highlights, though we both have some concepts that the other doesnt do... anyways, im excited to play with you and am enjoying your recent videos. keep it up man!

Hey thanks Cale, I checked out your blog and do agree we have kind of the same tpye of shuffly stuff/skill level. would be a pleasure to play with you at worlds, I wont be able to make it to the U.S. Open due to obligations with my place of work but I will be at worlds for all 7 days so we will have plenty of time to shred for sure.

I injured my Knee 2 days ago (opposite knee then what I posted above)
simply walking down the stairs in my apartment. so stupid that I didnt injure it a fun/cool way. anyway Its sore are heck at the moment but I can forsee playing footbag by next week sometime as for the injury doesnt seem very severe.

one more week of school then I get to go spend a few days with jay boychuk/bo jaychuck/ chuck jayboy what ever you prefere to name him, and zeb, jim, Riley, and Genz family. Ill actually be there for about 2 weeks, but Its my understanding Jay will only be there for about4-5 days.

will be good times
