the reason for this is because people use sights such as flvto.com to enter the url of the youtube video with a certain audio and convert it to mp3, basically the same thing as getting a song off limewire. But in my humble oppinion, the days of cd's and what not are dead, quit crying and let us pirate your music tyvm

Well, that was fast. The first vid I ever put on YouTube had a Notorious BIG song in it, and hence YT removed the audio and accused me of copyright infringement. I clicked on the "dispute" button, and in the field where it asked why I was disputing, I clicked the "fair use" button. When asked to elaborate, I simply wrote: "This is clearly fair use." Less than 24 hours later I had the audio back in my video.

That was really easy, but it's still douche-y of them to do that in the first place. They also don't notify you when they do that, so if you've uploaded a video in the past using commercial music, I suggest you check on them to make sure YT didn't audio-neuter them.

I'm just glad I have my video back intact, since I put a lot of time into making the audio sync with the video.

I just tried the exact same thing yesterday and it worked. They disabled the music from my Christmas calendar video but it is back on now
