Dammit! I wish I had checked this before my session, I woulda tried that drill. However, I'll probably start with phoenix>pixie shuffle>end with other phoenix. Just cuz my flip phoenix isnt reliable enuff midstring.
So yeah, first session since.... last Thursday? Idk, whenever we filmed. I'm looking forward to that video. Since Fran's majoring in being artsy he was using some really cool filming techniques, so hopefully he can make me look as though I'm actually good at footbag.
Anywho, session today was not nearly as good as I'd anticipated. I ended up playing for over 3 hours just cuz I was so unsatisfied. I had told myself on Saturday that if I felt like shredding then I would just study something else, as I had 3 midterms this past week. Bleh. So while going through footbag withdrawal the past few days, I've been thinking of all these awesome links that seemed feasible for me. During calc, my last class today, I was basically pissing my pants with excitement to play. My legs were fresh, I"d eaten an adequate amount of food, my weekend was starting as soon as calc ended, I was ready to shred.
I get back to my dorm room, drop my backpack on the floor, change into shred shorts, move my laptop into the living room area, and rearrange the furniture for optimal shred. I warm up with kicks and stretch, but something seems.... off. I told myself I wanted to hit 100 tiltless before attempting any of the sweet combos I'd been dwelling over for the past several days, just to get my legs back into shape before doing anything huge. I drop the bag on my foot and mirage>clipper>osis>far leg>clipper>osis>far leg>>leg>drop.... Now usually I've come to find that my first string is always a good indication of how "on" I am, so I can usually nail about 20 tiltless off the bat. Yeah. Everything felt incredibly off. It was horrible. I kept messing up around 15-20 tiltless. I broke 50 once.
After an hour or so I decided I wasn't going to hit 100 and was too pumped to still try and land some sweet links. However I decided to work bops a little before trying any sweet links. I worked on infinities first and couldnt get past 11.

This pissed me off so to prove that I wasnt
that off I said "Well, drifters are supposedly harder than butterfly so..." and I proceeded to land 11 drifters 2nd try. This was when the session finally started turning around and I figured out what I was doing wrong with infinities and whatnot. All in all, a pretty junky session, but good for working on form and such. I had one highlight, it was:
-torque>osis>rpt>string>seal with spinning osis bsos.
I'm just looking forward to tomorrow now and am hoping that I can play better. I have sooooo much to work on. Form, tiltless, bops, downtime stuff, i.e. whirl, dlo, drifter, torque, etc. I really wanna work ripwalks and stepping but I wanna solidify all that other stuff first. Ugh, I wish I knew how to train at footbag.

Maybe I should read up on that training program Anz created, that dude has some pretty intense form and endurance.
Peace
