Man who cares, like 30 people have recommended it to you and you still haven't tried it. It's not going to eat your computer or something. If you really want to watch the videos just download it.Cnick946 wrote:Is that what you use johnny?

You don't have to remove anything.Cnick946 wrote:I've downloaded it. I was just a little hesitant because I don't want to remove WMP
Alot of great videos this year!
I'm syked to see a new one every morning!
Kevin has the sickest editing style and Johnny the sickest shred style.
2 epic days in a row!
No, dude. That's not how it works.
Files automatically open with a certain program depending on what their extension is (*.zip, *.avi, *.doc, *.mp3, *.flm, *.etc). WMP kinda rules over all, and says "I WILL OPEN THESE FILES THANK YOU VERY MUCH", and will continue to do so until you tell a different program that IT gets priority.
For the time being, at the very least, you can open VLC, and then File > Open the video directly. Don't just double click the file and assume VLC is going to open it since you just installed it. That's not always how it works.
File > Open.
If you go into the options in VLC, you should be able to control which filetypes are automatically associated with it too.

Kevin, you know i've seen the video a number of times already, and it still impresses and amazes me every time i see it! Possibly my most fave video ever? I still want a full quality DVD of it some day...
Jay, you keep drooling over my whirls, and i keep telling you they are shit. quit flattering me when i don't deserve it, it will get you no where... except into my good books. I like how you accurately described my laugh. it is a cackle.

this is sound advice, another, quicker option is to right click and choose "open file using" (i think thats what it says, its been a while since ive used a pc) and then simply select VLC from the list
this option is for when you don't want to make that kind of file automatically open a particular different program
ive only watched the Evan Gatesman and Nick Landes videos so far, and they were absolutely off the hook, if its any indication of the quality of the rest of the videos, im in for a treat when i sit down to watch all of them on Christmas day (as ive made a tradition of doing the last 2 years) its just too hard to keep up with them daily with all the work i have going on right now.
Precisely Mos Eisley
cool one, some really good links by both players, I especially liked the first move on the vid.
Nick Landes
