NYJ Arrival times

Post by C-Fan »

I don't know if there's a formal pick-up system, but even if there isn't, this should help people carpool cabs, etc.

I sent you a PM with my info. Would you mind posting the departure times as well? That's more important to me, because being late to the airport is worse than being late to the event from my experience. :-) Thanks for making the thread.

I'll be sewing up some bags in the wee hours of the morning at O'Hare (because I don't have a lot of time to sew up bags before & during Christmas). I can join up with any company sometime in the afternoon if the opportunity arises.

edit: There's a likely chance that I will run out of filler to fill my bags (I'm estimating 10+), and this is from what I can assess on the filler I'll be bringing in my checked-baggage. If anyone in Chicago has lead filler that is marginally small, I will gladly trade one bag for plenty of lead filler. At least, if not more than enough to fill up the bags I have stitched up.

I'm hoping to change mine to Friday morning some time, if I stop being lazy... (I think Eric Chang is hoping to pick up Waylon and I in one fell swoop.)

I was thinking of changing my arrival time sometime toward Friday afternoon, but with some thought (and with the additional $160 fee for the ticket change), I opted not to. United Airlines is pretty strict on schedule changes, I think.

Well, it really depends on where people are trying to go. Not everybody is staying in the same place. It makes sense for people who are all going to the same place to form groups, rather than people arriving at the same time forming groups.

I will quite probably be available to shepherd people from O'hare via the CTA, will update again later when I know more.

Good thread.
Could you order them like this:
Arrival Times
December 27

11:52 Fletcher Funk
12:50 Mathieu Gauthier
12:55 Henry Griese
13:15 Dat Phan
14:33 Colin Kennedy
15:45 Evan Gatesman and Ben Skaggs
18:56 David Clavens
19:25 Cody Carter, Zac Miley and John Redding
19:34 Nick Laroche

December 28

13:43 Jay Boychuck

Pickups from terminal 1 Baggage Claim.
All are O'Hare.
That would help with any pickups and people should all walk over to the same terminal. I may be able to do pickups the day b4 the event, but with a much smaller car. I'll be posting some train info soon too.

Also maybe cell phones?

Well, I'm taking the train, so you may want to leave me off that list. Unless you're still willing to come get me.

I will be able to do pickups on the 26th, but I don't have a huge car, but we may have several cars.

So whoever wants a ride post your:
airport
arrival time

airline and flight number (in case ur flight is delayed we'll know to wait for you)
where you're headed

Post in the NYJ thread so we don't have to check 2 places. We'll figure out groups in the next few days.

I can do pickups and can fit six people (tight fit) and maybe throw some in the trunk X5 SUV. But I hear the airport is like a 40minute or so drive + (holiday traffic) so rather not be playing pick up and miss out on all that sweet footage I need to film.
Look a BLOG! That I never update

Where is everyone going to on the 26th? Is there some shred spot on that day?

driving from O'hare to Downtown can take up to two hours depending on the traffic, weather, and day. The train is the easiest and most reliable way to go .
