Huuuuuge solo sesh! Went down to the local community center where I used to play when I lived with my folks, and sweet tricks ensued.

Drills.

Catwalk>Ps Mirage>Rpt

Blurry Whirl>Blurry whirl>Ps whirl
Fog Bsos a few times....flip fog finally feels good (though still not consistent enough)

New 6's
Ducking Paradox Torque(first try)
Flip Blurry Torque(after many many tries)

And finally, after a long time of trying it, my first 7.

So I'm still here in North Bay, passing the time by smoking cigarettes, driving around, and listening to drum and bass. I forgot my footbag and shoes in Toronto so I haven't been playing at all during this break. I'm an idiot, yes. I even went back to Toronto for Unity (party at the Guvernment) but the keys to my room were locked inside.

Despite this, I've been watching tons of FOOTage and getting hyped up to play again this coming year. I was especially inspired by some of the Christmas Calender stuff, particularly Evan on the 1st and Jorden's playing for the 20th. I want to be playing regularly in 2009, as a new year's resolution. It hasn't been happening for me since early on this year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. I'll shred with you all very soon.

I'm driving down to Toronto tomorrow (Tuesday) for a morning dentist appointment. Any one planning any shred stuff for the new year? If there is anything tomorrow than me and Greg Raymond are in.

Let us know....

Sweet, I think Tom Mosher is going to a Fixed gear thing and he invited me to go along. May be we could all shred there? Greg Raymond is coming with. Can we see how many people we can drag out for this??

Let's do it!!

I got your number and I'll call you tomorrow Camille.

Huge session yesterday in the Ryerson business building with John and Greg. Dope dope dope. Highlights are hard to come up with when everything was so solid. :P Got a bunch of fun 5>5>5's...John and Greg were pushing me to play hard. Huge consistency from those guys. I'm jealous of Greg's dexless.

Session tommorow (thursday) would be nice. Camille? Dan? I'm thinking sometime around 5 pm would be best for me (i have class until 4:30ish). If not, I'll be up in the skool gym solo-ing.

New ideas for training floating around my head.....hmmmm......need to make sure to hit at least 3 50 contact tiltless runs every session from now on. And skool osis b2b for a while.

Basics+basics+Drilling guiltless=Huge links.

Also...my spinning still sucks. Need to think about that and take action. Maybe a couple weeks of really boring training sessions coming up, but once I get through it, many of my concepts will have improved 100% which will make footbag in general more fun. Also.....I need to hit a 6>6 before the end of the month.

:)

Sweet Adam... I love how you say you "need" to do this stuff. Good on ya. :) And you know, props for all the progress lately, man... it's nice when you're back in the swing of things.

I wish I coulda come yesterday, I was under the impression it woulda been earlier when I was free. But good stuff... and John- you guys better be back like you told me you would. :P

So yes- Thursday- 5 is fine. Dan- ya better be sayin yes-- we'll come to you!

I just wanna tell you guys that I'm really really looking forward to this semester, now that my life is finally settled and I'm downtown... I'm going to skool a lot and session with you guys as much as possible. This past little while made it really hard to footbag at all; my knee was a real nag for a bit there and then moving and all that, and then over the break I somehow fucked up my neck/shoulders... it hurt just to turn my head. :( Shit... it's been a pretty long string of things keeping me from this, eh? Especially after the ankle sprain this summer... BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH wtf?!

Anyway, I'm feeling healthier than ever and I FINALLY have a solid foundation to be working from, so I am just really excited for how much more I can accomplish now. With school and art and everything else too. .. </SIGH>

See you Thursday, 5, Bahen Centre.

edit: ha, when I said solid foundation I meant in the home/life sense, not in the footbag sense. But I guess that would be somewhat true too...

YAY FOOTBAG!

that session was awesome! kudos on the dope shred & quality "hot spot scouting", adam. it was good to finally meet you after scrambling for a session last year around this time.

we will organize something SOON! bagi's blog-o has similar connotations of connectivity between fellow combatants of gravity. maybe something mid-February?

peace.
