If you get to the event early and theres not much of a shred going on dont be surprised. Its a good time to check out the rest of the events, I like the 10 year old boxing - they are badasses.
Usually the freestylers show up late.

I woke up on Christmas and thought, "Ugh, I have to be friendly and act happy." I woke up today and sounded like a little kid in my head, "YAY!!!! IT'S NEW YEARS JAM DAY!!!!!!!"

Fantastic time. One of the most fun footbag trips I've taken. Expect a loooong write-up with lots of video.

Big ups to CIC for organizing such a fun event.

Thanks for coming, everyone! So good to see all of you.

I just filed a complaint with Hyatt guest services about Renaldo. No story to tell, kept most of the ridiculous details out of it.

Fun times.

I managed to get back in Montreal alive of this tournament.

Since I was in terrible condition (health/sick) I could'nt really play (bad headache on first day,, fever on 2 following days).

It was really frustrating to be with so many fun people and feel like shit the whole time. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun, but I felt like I was in a different dimension (sickland)

I guess bad things happen for a reason, next year will be better for me hopefully!

I have some good resolutions out of this tournament, even tough it was a hard time for me, I think I will grow stronger and wiser from all of it.

On a positive note, I left my bad luck in USA, and now everything is good for me, still sick, but getting better :D

Sorry for all those I could'nt say bye to before going, and for not eating at Chinatown on monday. Managed to go visit the museum of nature with The Sue, it was really impressive.

Special words to :

Henry - Great you made it, even tough we did'nt hang out it was nice to see you again!
Fletcher - Thank you for the nice bag, you made me quite happy!
Eric Chang - So nice, thanks for the ride, and looking forward to a nice video
Jay - For being so good at footbag and progressing so well
Zac and Matt K- for hosting sick 1 and sick 3, new system looks interesting from what Ianek told me, but I have not read the details yet. Bhy the way Matt K is really good at footbag. Zac had an awesome variety round in circle too.
Tom K and Zeke / Reile (other organisers) - For hosting a nice tournament that went well
Steve G - For the conference room

to the others for being there, I'm looking forward to my 5th nyj in a row next year!

How was your tournament?

Imagine being with all funniest people you know and talking unrestrained & uninhibited shit about anything and everything all day for 3 days and laughing your ass off the whole time. Tears are in your eyes, your stomach hurts, your cheeks are sore and your legs can't keep you up - just completely hysterical!

What does that have to do with hacky sack?

Nothing. It was fucking awesome!

I had a great time. I bet a lot of people saw another side of me that they wished they didn't see, but it was all in good fun. Four Square was seriously dope!

My only regret was not interacting with people more, and being in better shred shape. If I could, I would have stayed for another day or two.

Cheers to CIC for such a great jam!
