At no point did I say I'd disproved your point or attempted to. I'm simply trying to put forward the information that I can find so that we can see the initial source of the comment and make a judgement based on that.
Do you see how I start off by saying "narrowing it down a little" and then "if somebody wants to find the footjam 2004 topic hopefully it will have the details" - those are not comments of "you're wrong," they're comments of here are some starting points to go from to find out what was actually said and who said it and whether a video exists or not.

Of course, as I'm sure Ken will point out, not proof that it's been hit and I'm not claiming (and never claimed) based on this that it has been, but I think it's probably more likely that it has been hit and that Honza never saw it and forgot or didn't know that it had been, than that it was falsely reported.

This whole discussion is a fantastic example of how misinformation on the internet is passed off as truth. One guy writes in his blog that he heard something second hand. Nobody has seen anything, there is no video, there is no proof, but for the next 2 years people will spout off how swirling furious flurry is possible. It all boils down to whose word you prefer to believe, Ebo's or Honza's.
When it comes to the question of whether or not a trick has been hit, I am in the camp that demands video proof of it before acknowledging it happened. By definition, this is the very opposite of "blind acceptance."
At what point have I said that the move has actually been hit?
If you don't actually read my posts, why do you respond to them?
edit; All I have said, and continue to say, is that somebody on modified posted that Vasek had hit the trick. That's now a confirmed fact. At no point did I disagree with you about anything. I did in my last post say that I think it's "probably more likely" it has been hit than hasn't, and I meant exactly that. I do not claim that it has definitely been hit - only that somebody says it has been hit.

1. I have never seen a 5 dex hit on video. I'm not saying they haven't been hit, but it's worth noting that none have ever been cleanly caught on film. Think about that before we start discussing 6 dexes. A 5 dex has never been hit clean on video.
I may be wrong, but is there not a video of Penske hitting nemesis rake somewhere? I'm also not sure if anyone still considers a rake a dex.

Anyway, I don't know about videos of it... but Olaf has said that he's hit 3 quints.
I'll take his word for it. Footbag seems to be gentlemen's game full of honest people. I'd like to think someone as well known and admired as Olaf wouldn't lie about things like that.
Well on footbag.org the old move list gives rake a dex (or maybe just xbd rake - I can't remember) but I'm sure everybody today (or nearly everybody) considers it to get a bod add instead. Wrap also gets a dex add, although people would consider it a bod not a dex these days. Theoretically you could an infinite dex trick just by doing wraps and then bring the bag back again over and over, but the quest for a 5 and 6 dex trick is really understood by everybody as doing the dexes while the bag is in the air, not resting on your foot, so you'd have to a very large amount of wrap "dexes" to impress anybody, and even then nobody would attribute you as the first person to hit a 10,000 dex trick.
I just finished reading through all 10 pages of this discussion and felt myself grow dumber with each post. I don't know why I feel the need to chime in, but here's my $0.02:
I've been saying for years, since about 2001 actually, that A 6 dex trick will be hit, it's a matter of time. I do not base this on any particular trick or trick element, just on a basic observation. There is time to hit 3 dexterities uptime and 3 dexterities downtime. Or it might be possible to hit 4 dexterities midtime from a 2 dex set. I'm not talking about any particular set or element here, just how many miliseconds you have and how fast you can move your legs. Put everything together perfectly and there's time for 6 dexterities between contacts.
I think that 6 is the absolute physical limit. As such I think it's a worthy goal in that I predict that as we aproach our physical limits as a sport it will push creativity in other directions. I think we're already seeing some of that now.
I think speculating about which particular trick will be hit is pointless, I heard people speculating on the first 4 dex to be hit and after they were wrong about that speculating on the first 5 dex to be hit and I agree with Jorden and Ken, until you're actually there on that edge it's imposible to judge how hard those moves actually are (I'm not there btw, I've never even hit a 4 dex cleanly in shoes).
Finally I apologize to all concerned for not doing my part in just letting this thred die.
I'm gonna say 2 years on this. Cuz everyone at this year's worlds will confirm it hasn't been done, and therefore will be trying swirling barraging during the entire off-tournament shred. And every player will be planning for Worlds 10 to unveil it.
I think 7 dex's mabey 8 would be in the realm of reality. For exampe mabey smp. barraging nuclear mo-fly swirl could be hit. Who knows the bodys limits.
idk much about huge dex moves BUT cudnt a black guy who can jump really high, pull off a 6 dex jus by timing and jumping really high and setting the bag super high? im jus throwing that in there, wud that work?
