ha i wanted to post.but modified held down on me for a few days.i now found a way into it...so...erik,i dont like you anymore...

Naw, I thought about flip, but it won't really be fun unless someone (Rory...) posted an intentional flipside reference.

And since I'm posting anyway, I think it would be great to do some figural studies. I guess there's the issue of nudity on the forums, so I should run it by the other mods and admin first, but I'm trying to learn more about the figure anyway, and I think everybody else should too :p (Anatomy was a requirement in art school in the renaissance!) It would be hard to find good references on the internet, too, I think...
What does everyone think?

i once had this website about art and stuff.they had also a forum with a similar thread like this.they drew naked women.well,in an artway....but i lost the name of the site...they were realy inspiring and helpfull.and lots of nice poeple...yeah...guess what you said is right....so....let em come...the pic is damn hard by the way.....

so a easier one next,its from a rubens picture called "the unity of earth an wind" i believe,correct me if i´m wrong,you can also search for the complete pic and draw this,but i think these are some nice feet too draw.so its an easy one so i ecpect more drawings now!

A non-Wacom, but I haven't drawn for ages. I still don't have a scanner either

This is of my brother and his girlfriend for his birthday last month. It took me forever because I could never find time to work on it! I used pencil, sharpie, liner, brush and ink, and pencil-crayons.
It was really hard and took me a lot of tries at first because I'd never really drawn anyone except myself and my girlfriend, and I've drawn us millions of times.

Thanks guys.
I would do more portraits because they are fun and I don't find them that difficult like lots of people, but my real goal is to be able to create things from my head. It's really hard and I think that is a big reason why I hardly ever draw, because it is so intimidating to have nothing to work from but my imagination, but that is what I love the most, and the only thing that I really feel good about drawing because I feel that anybody can draw a portrait, but it takes creativity and talent to create forms from scratch like Leonardo did, and like many comic artists do today. I wish I was forced to learn anatomy. I find it really hard to learn and remember stuff on my own time, especially when I am so busy

Basically, someone posts an image here and anyone can render it in any medium they prefer then post it back in the thread. You can take the rendering as far as you want, quick sketch or fully finished portfolio piece. As far as images are concerned, I would suggest a size similar to the photo of the meters above that also contains a good range of values.

Care to post the first reference?
