I've seen a lot of pictures of "mesh lavers" but many of them are different colored and look different.

Are the green/white the "right" ones? I just seems to me like the outside material looks sorta different in different pictures.

just to be clear, the ones that are white, green, and blue that say "adidas" very clearly on the side, with the bright green laces, are NOT the most desirable pair.

the other two pairs on that page are standard mesh lavers, the shoe by which all other footbag shoes are judged.

Yeah, I inspected Brian Bear's pair of leather Lavers in the white/green/blue colors (described earlier in this topic) at Chicago NYJ, and they were seriously heavy! The sole is much denser than your typical mesh Rod Laver.

In a sense, I believe the recently newer batches of the Rod Laver shoe that come in leather have a denser sole relative to that of a skate shoe, so they're bad for freestyle. If you insist on playing in leather Lavers, your best bet is to find a regular pair (without the fancy patterned leather) at some online shop, your local footwear shop, or ebay.

me and Kolo bought the undesirable pair of lave ( http://www.amazon.com/adidas-Originals- ... sbs_shoe_3 ) and a normal shoe shop (adidas shop) and like Waylon said, they are heavy as hell, nobody should play in them ... but they are stylish to walk with

Yes, those are some seriously heavy shoes.
Sometimes I will warm up in them, and then when I change into my mesh ones my feet feel like feathers

I also heard something about drilling holes through the sole because it is soo thick and heavy!!!
Anyways, they provide more support than the mesh ones, and are a lot cooler looking. I always want to be wearing shreddable shoes, and you CAN shred in them. barflies are really fun in them actually, the momentum is out of control!
