Hey Byrin,

I'm not coming back from Jasper until Saturday, so I'll be missing the Friday shred. Feel free to still kick it around with Joe if you like (I think you guys exchanged numbers!?).

Props on the fearless. I challenge you to 20 contacts... 15 contacts is quota :)

Double spinning gyro clip it is. Definitely not spinning ingyro :P

Like if you do one spin and the gyro mirage, then it is spinning gyro mirage (so might say double spinning mirage, but they are wrong). It is just the same with double spin. First spin double, then do the extra gyro. Though I'd like to see that double spin gyro clipper, How high is the bag when you are going for the clip? Could you hit double spinning gyro whirl, buttefly or mirage? :D Butterfly must be hard.

I really enjoy reading all the comments guys, thanks for posting!

Unfortunately no :(. Alas, I can not transfer footage from my camera onto my gf's computer so even if I captured it, I would be very hard pressed to get it online.
Lazy-Bonez wrote:do you have any program on training basics?
Not really, though for harder tricks I do. For basics I only do consecutives.

Month of December recap:

43 hours of footbag
18 sessions

A lot of foundation work this month also, though the last two weeks I've been stepping it up a notch. More shuffle work, stepping ducking, nuke, been playing around with Rev. Ups and started to get into more fearless. Shins and knees have been good this week (though I feel a deep momentary pain in my left shin after I stretch it) and I hope that it continues on into next month.

More highlights:

- Symple Rev. Swirling Whirl
- Tombstone x 5
- Scorpion's Tail x 6 bs
- Vortex x 14
- Pigbeater > Pixie ss Egg x 6
- Double Spinning Clipper > Gyro Clipper x 5
- Stepping Whirl x 10 bs
- Torque x 17

EDIT - Tuukka, at this point in time I highly doubt it. :(

Tuukka is definitely right. I think I misunderstood the trick to begin with...it all makes sense now. :)

...also, you have a gf?

Probably had my last session before Vegas today. Not too bad, I was pleased. I can't wait to meet up with Ben and Evan again, and see how far they've come in the 1.5 years since I last saw them. Can't wait to have my mind blown away too by Jim :D .

Highlights:

- Icarus
- Alpine Atom Bomb
- Atom Bomb (weakside)
- ss DLO x 20
- Tapping DLO x 7 strong and x 4 weak
- Spinning Rev. Swirl x 4
- Vortex x 11 (weakside)
- Atomic Everything > Pixie Everything > 6 contacts of Fairy suffle
- Torque > Ripwalk x 10
- Toe Whirl > Symp Rev. Up x 6
- Double Spinning Clipper > Mobius > Far Symp Rev. Up (felt pretty stylie)

Yeah, found out I could do Symp Atomic fairly well so... I might start doing those more often now...

Love the bothsided highlights. Flip vortex x11 sounds weird...if you can do 11, is it really flip?

Get on video in Vegas please. I miss watching your game. :)

Vegas has come and gone, and I enjoyed myself thoroughly! Ben and Evan were very hospitable hosts and a great big THANK YOU for the housing accomodations, driving us around the city, the food Saturday night, putting up with our funny accents and just being great people. I had a blast and would love to come back!

I played pretty hard through-out, and got really sore after the second day  . It hurt to walk for 2 days afterwards, but I toughed it out and was back footbaggin' the Tuesday following the jam. I hit what I wanted to, but I was a little bit dissappointed in myself just for the general shred aspect of it. I don't know if it was the new insoles I got (which I replaced the very next day after the jam), my nerves or my shins acting up but for some reason my legs felt like they didn't have that usual spring in their step. Regardless, I can't say I played badly so I'm happy with that. The only one thing I was really dissappointed in myself with was that I could barely double spin, but whatever. It took me a little while but I think I might have worked that kink out.

So yeah. Filmed a bit yesterday and I want to make a video with only big tricks (inspired by Jorden - we watched a lot of Jorden videos in Vegas :D ). Hit a new 8 add and had another unsealed ( 8O ). Also have ideas for one more 8'er I could probably hit so my next session I'm going to be bringing out the camera again and see what I can do. Also should put them on paper and come out with a brief storyboard (or maybe just an outline?) for a big tricks video. The biggest thing on my mind, if I were to go along with this idea, is originality. I want these tricks to stand out. I want them to be my own. I don't want the majority of these tricks to be considered "somebody else's", you know? Like when I think Rev. Gauntlet, Torch-R-Rack Swirl, Fairy Gyro Barroque, I think Jorden. When I think Nemesis, Swirlwind, Backside Genesis, I think Dave. And anything to do with Symp Atomic or Nuke I usually think either Johnny or Derek. After people watch my video, I want them to associate those tricks with me and not just "Oh Byrin hit those tricks too" or "Jorden already hit that, but that's cool that he did it too". So originality is key, though it's going to be really hard when the best player in Canada can do everything you can do and regulate it three times over  . It's inspiring and despiriting at the same time.

I guess that means I just need to bust harder or something.

Wow, thank you guys :).

Had probably one of best sessions ever with Rory last Friday. A lot of stuff was hit, some of which I'll post and other things that I'll have to keep on the down-low :P . It ended with Rory buying me a protein shake, which was really nice of him. I think I hit a 30 contact genuine run (can't remember quite, but there could have been one or two BOPs) as well which I was really proud of.

Haven't been kickin too often, I might not make the 40hr / month goal this month unless I put in 3r sessions everyday next week, which I'll probably try for. If my legs can handle it, great! If not, then whatever. I'll make up for it in February.

Highlights:

- Frontside Predator
- Frontside Atomic Torque
- Whirlygig > Whirlygig bsos
- Atomic Torque & Marius bsos
- Tapping Egg > Blade Runner x 2
- PS Whirl > Mobius > Blurriest x 2 (I really like this one)

I've been wanting to hit Atomic Everything x 2 lately, but the furthest I've come is 24 contacts. Really hard, but tonight feels like it could be the night!
