Having technical difficulties.
All set, everything works except video -- even sound works from webcam. Trying to install MSN (slowly) so someone can help us with this.

Ideas would be great

Yeah, it made me update.
And MSN isnt installing for some reason.
So, broadcast cancelled unless someone can fix it for us here. Maybe next time!!! Sorry

Aww, it worked as soon as Manna left.
I guess next solo session or next Saturday.

Did you go through this list:

Configuring Camera

1. Connect the camera to your computer
2. Make sure the computer is recognizing the camera. You can check by going to the "My Computer" page in Windows or the "Finder" window in OSX and seeing what devices are plugged in.
3. Select the show you want to broadcast with and click the "Broadcast Now" button on your "My Shows" page or on the homepage.
4. In the UStream Broadcaster window, click on the Video Sources drop down menu and select your camera in the list. If it is an embedded webcam then it will appear as "USB Video Class Video". If it is a plugged in DV Camera then it will appear as "DV Video".
5. Your video should appear in the Local Stream window. Make sure "Video Broadcast" is checked.

Note: When the broadcaster window opens for the first time, it asks you if want to "Allow" or "Deny" Camera and Microphone access. You should always click "Allow". If at any point you click "Deny" then the window will never show up again. When this occurs, you will have to reset it.

Optimizing Stream Quality

* Make sure you have optimal internet connection. T1, DSL, Cable. You can check your upload speed here: www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/. We recommend an upload of atleast 300kbps.
* If you are using wireless, have a poor internet connection, or you are experiencing choppiness with your stream then you can lower your video and audio levels. You can do this in the Ustream Broadcaster console. This should help with any streaming choppiness.
* Beyond, internet connection and video and audio levels, the key to a good quality stream is pretty simple, the same fundamentals of any video experience. 1. Make sure you have GOOD lighting. This is one of the most important factors in stream quality. 2. Make sure you have a GOOD camera. The better quality the camera, the better the stream. 3. Make sure you close all other programs on your computer. Computers bogged down running other programs can cause your stream to be lower quality.
