Kyle could use some more challenges

Post by KBizzle »

So for the last couple weeks I've just been screwing around with my footbagging, but I want some challenges to keep me going and learn some new tricks or get some old ones down better.

Right now these are the basic tricks I can do (that doesn't include my screwing around tricks):

Toe stall (very good both sides)
Inside stall (very good both sides)
Outside stall (very good both sides)
Clipper (not great but alright both sides)
Mirage (good one side not so good on the other)
Illusion (sketchy one sided)
Legover (not good but can get it on both sides)
Pickup (same as legover)
ATW-In (alright on both sides)
ATW-Out (good both sides)
Consecutive clippers (not good can do 5 at most)
Butterfly (same as consec. clippers)

Challenges I'm working on:
Pickup x10
Illusion x10 both sides
20x tiltless with 5 uniques

Challenges completed:
20 toe stalls
15 inside stalls
4x ATW both sides both ways
Walk over
Wrap
Hop over
Legover>ATW>rpt.
Mirage>Legover>rpt.
Clipper>Far legover>rpt.
Pickup>ATW>rpt.
Clipper>Near Pickup>rpt.
Alternating Mirage x6
15 clippers bs
Mirage>ss Mirage>rpt. x2
Legover>symp. Mirage>rpt.
Mirage>Pickup>rpt.
Legover x10

I got the 20 toe stalls, 15 insides, and can get the 4 around the world each way. Still working on the others. I really hate pickups, I am so bad at them its ridiculous. I guess I better go practice some more...

Pickups are a bitch at first, but once you learn how to do them right, they're allot of fun to do consecutive. Watch some videos and see how pros move their body to get the movement done.

Mirage->legover rpt is a good drill.

Try some of these tricks in the "same side" variation (for example, when doing right side leg over, to the dex with your right foot instead of the left. It's kind of like an around the world, but with touching your foot on the ground before doing the dex around the bag). Explore these variations with mirage, butterfly etc.

OH and also -

Hit the following tricks both sides:

Walk over - be sure to have the bag set -straight up- after the walk over!
Wrap
Hop over

The stronger your inside stalls, the easier these should be.

First post updated. Still working on those pickups. I got them pretty good on one side but the other is still really bad.

Is a reverse mirage just an illusion? Or is it something else?
