I got 31 contacts. . That's usually how it is!

Last few sessions have been pretty good. My shins have been hurtin' a bit since Thursday so I haven't been pushing shuffle all that much. Some highlights:

- Tomahawk > Spinning Whirl x 11
- Maelstrom x 3 bs
- Marius x 2
- Void > Marius bs
- Pdx Blender > Mobius x 2
- Mobius > Pdx Torque > Pdx Torque > Mobius
- Mobius x 9 8O
- Scorpion's Tail x 8
- Spinning Gyro Clipper > Spinning Clipper x 2

I've hit a spike in my footbag progression. It feels like I'm at my best right now, and the best part is is that I still feel like I'm getting better. :)

Nice Erik! I used to listen to both songs a long time ago (though not with the lyrics on the second one, just the pure straight Darude version).

Put something together for you guys. It's my way of saying thanks for all the support everyone has shown in my blog. Consider it three sneek peeks in one :).

Thank you

Will do more filming, though sadly it won't be shred. Just what's advertised :P .

I'm glad you said the bold part, otherwise it would be scary - or at least more scary. Great stuff too. 9 mobius is crazy. When you say tomahawk>spinning whirl x 11 - do you mean 22 contacts in total?

edit; Also holy shit regarding the video!

Yeah, 22 contacts :).

Been filming a bit the past few days and getting good stuff on the camera. Shins are still a bit crappy so next week I'll probably not film and drill real easy stuff (toe ducking and double spinning or something).

So far, I got these for the videos:

- 6 tricks for the Huge Tricks vid
- 3 links for the Huge Links vid
- 2 drills/combos for the Huge Combos vid

I'm hoping that all of these will have a nice healthy blend of clipper AND toe tricks in them... which means I've got to really drill the crap out of my Symp Eggs :( .

Some highlights:

- BS Predator bs
- Spinning Blender > Marius bs (would be a cool drill)
- 26 tripless (might be a new pb?)
- 28 contacts of Drifter > Pdx Drifter

Just wanted to thank you for the teaser. I was very very impressed. I'm especially impressed that you can hit such big combos on both sides.

I look forward to seeing the finished vids.

Thank you Ken. I promise that they'll be worth the wait. I'm still only using WMM but the content (I hope) should definitely make up for it and then some :).

So January recap:

43 hours of footbag
17 sessions

Had a good kick with Rory last night. Hit some stuff I was happy with, though my runs kinda sucked. Ah well.

EDIT.

I want your opinion. Is this good enough for the tricks video? Not clean imo, but would you still give it some credit or should I try to do it better? It's hard on my knee, but I want everything to be good.

Appropriately epic audio.

I think it looks fine. The delay wasn't perfect, and you were slightly off balance...but when it comes to a trick of that calibre, who cares.

I agree that's it not clean, but I could only tell going through frame by frame, so I would probably include it in the video only at normal speed in a section of fast cutting so that it looks fine and gives a kind of "wtf, did he just hit spinning whirlwind" effect.

I'll keep it, but I think I'll give it a few more tries to see if I can manage something better. If not, I'll just use this one and do exactly what Jeremy said :D .

I haven't been kicking all too much this week due to... stuff ( :P ), but I had a good session tonight. Rory has a cold and didn't feel like kickin all too much (understandably) so I had a solo Friday night sesh, which went over quite well. I hit some really good things, but when I pulled out the camera to get them on film, it just wasn't happenin' . On the other hand, I did manage to get two other things on camera - a bad-ass trick and a sweet drill. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the things that were camera shy tonight on video as well.

Oh yes, and I got 35 unique tripless. That's definitely a new record. My goal is 50, so I think I'm off to a good start. Just got to train the cardio and remember to focus on form and breathing. :)

EDIT

Might as well post these two from tonight as well:

- Gravedigger x 2 bs
- Blurriest > Blurrier x 2 (finally!)

Seriously, I just can't imagine how good you are... I have just foud your blog and dropped my brain away...
Say "huge props" seems now not enough for me to describe my feelings about this technical level.

Hey thanks!

Just thought I'd post this little footbag moment.

You and I both know that if the bag were alive it would have probably been laughing its ass off taunting me.

Other then that... I kicked for 3 hours today, got three 8s (Clipper > Clipper, Toe > Clipper and Toe > Toe), a fucking hardcore drill, a new 7 > 7 link and... that's about it on camera. Twas a good day 8) .

I just hope I'm not too sore tomorrow. I'm still coming up with lots of things to try for the camera but I'm aiming SO high, it's going to be hard to get even 1/3rd of them. I guess we'll see...

Also need to really clean up my Flurries. Symp Flurries aren't too bad though! :D

EDIT

Here's the reason for my lack of footbaggin' last week:

MY NEW CAR

2002 Chevy Camaro 35th Anniversary Edition!
3.8 V6
100k kms

She's a little dirty from my trip into the city, but still. I'm ecstatic over her! I picked her up at an auction at the end of January for a good price, and had to fix her up a tiny bit. I got all new tires and rims, and still have to get a few minor things done on the inside but otherwise she's in the best of shape :D .
