No footbag today but I did get up early to go play hockey on ghetto ice rinks with my friends. And by ghetto, I mean theose portable ones (a bix wooden box, a liner and water) It was a lot of fun. Because we werent using skates and there were holes and broken parts of the ice, it was quite extreme. Everyone now suffers from minor injuries.

After that, I helped my parents to finish moving the last of the furniture from our store. Today was our last day there. Sad. So now Always Elegant Gift Baskets is solely an online store (lol advertising :) ).

Time to go hunt for some evasive food in the kitchen

 Fun

FINALLYYY had success in modding the insides of my climas. I got the two non stitched stripes off on each. Will do the stitched ones another time. On the stripes I hadn't really touched before I only got one or two little holes. But on the stripe that I first tried where I screwed up pretty badly, i got a nice hole under some of the stripe that I'll never touch again lol.

The shoes are no where near destroyed though :D so far

Played for 2-2.5 hours ish today. Started off pretty well then I got sidetracked after a while lol.

Highlights:

 11 guiltless : smear > symp mirage > butterfly > pdx mirage > rpt > ducking mirage > butterfly > ducking clipper > drop on osis
 Gyro osis bsos
 kind of flip symp whirl. I guess I "technically" hit it, but the delay was rolling crap. Did that two or three times.
 Worked pixies a bit. A few high sets from flip (couldn't actually control when I did it though, it just kinda happened  )
 Close to a cool combo: symp pixie > symp butter > symp whirl. Even though I couldn't get the whirl it still felt cool

It was fun. Didn't really try for any challenges today.

One thing that angered me soooo much today though was that I was trying to get an action shot to put as a new facebook picture or something. My move of choice was symp whirl. I put the camera phone on 3 second delay and had it shoot 9 consecutive pictures. Every single time I did a good symp whirl, the freaking dex was to fast for the camera! I just couldn't happen to do it in the middle of the picture! Gah! I had to settle with another lame clipper picture. I'll get it next time.

Later

Played in my living room today. It was good for most of the session.

Highlights:

-modded toes of climas
-pickup > ss pickup > rpt > clipper > near pickup > legover > ss legover > rpt > mirage > ss mirage rpt > drop on illusion. (I liked this because I didn't have to work entirely too hard or spend too much time to do it.)
-flip spinning pdx mirage
-flip gyro mirage
-fear
-fudge
-muted fairy clipper
-fairy legover
-fairy same legover
-nothing involving flip fairy
-toe set zulu symp mirage
-pixie inside kick > legover bsos (yay challenge)
-

I really have to work on flip fairy like rigghhtt now. Heck I need to work on everything. But I'm still getting there. On a good note, i think flip pixie got a lot better today. Doing that challenge took a lot of tries because of either not kicking hard enough, kicking too hard, blah blah blah. It helped :)

Have a good President's Day

Forgot to mention some basic drill things I did when I played yesterday

 Clipper > Near Mirage > rpt x 41 contacts
 Left clipper x10 > right clipper x10> left clipper x10> right clipper x10 >left clipper x10 > drop

My gym teacher let me kick as a "rigorous exercise" today at the end of gym lol. It was fun.

On another note, today I turned 18. Damn, laws apply to me now

Had a two hour session this morning. Don't think the brockas did anything for me whatsoever. Might have made my form worse  I just gotta be careful. Anyway

Started off with warming up with kicks and such. Then after some stalls and ATWs I get it in my head to try terrage. Takes me a bit, but I finally hit it both sides. After that I try toe barrage. I hit what I hope was a clean one strong side. Probably wasn't clean but was the closest I've gotten. Then I try delusion. I neearly hit it on each side. So close. Just couldn't seal the deal. Yay double dex's.

Then I move on to small drilling and such. After a few minutes I just start trying strings. I think it was somewhere around here that I hit gyro mirage bsos. Made me happy. After a few strings, I find that today it isn't all that hard to keep the bag up. I soon get 22 tiltless. With my record being 24 I was like "gosh darnit." Soon after that I'm doing a string where the bag just doesn't want to drop. I hit 15, then 20, then 25, then 30, then I finally drop on 32. Felt soooo good to finally hit a string of that length. A couple tries later I got 20. Again, felt good to have multiple 20+ strings for once.

There was other stuff but I forget/I'm too lazy. I'll just list the highlight stuff :)

Highlights:

 terrage bs
 toe barrage
 gyro mirage bsos
 31 tiltless
 clipper and rake(toe) set inspinning clipper
 a couple decent looks at guiltless stuff?
 worked downtime whirls to try for pdx whirl. Hit strongside. Just couldn't get the flip. Close/soon though. I did feel like I made good progress with flip whirl cause I was flexing my ankle soo much better
 finally flip legbeater

Fun :)

Didn't get to play on this wonderful snowday cause my mom won't let me :( But I kinda felt like writing anyway.

A highlight I forgot from the other day was symp mirage > symp pixie > rpt.

Also I've been working on blenders a bit. I watched the Anz trick video for it and that seemed to help a lot. But I just cant seem to land it on flipside. I've footed sooo many times. Maybe I should go work osis more then come back to it. Another sign that I know I'm not doing it correctly on flipside is that after a bit my knee starts to hurt a tad.

I've also been coming soooooooooooooooo close to downtime torque on each side. When I used to try it, I couldn't even get my body twisting enough to get around to the osis. Now I get to the osis no problem but I can't seal the deal. Again, I should probably go work osis more.

I feel like I'm at the doorstep of guiltless. I think hitting 31 tiltless the other day was a major major step for me. Obviously I need to do it more and exceed that, but it was that giant leap that I needed. Overall, I think I can start knocking on that door.

I at least want to be mainly guiltless come end of april cause I plan on attending GRASS, beantown throwdown, or both. Where I'll get the money for this is an enigma to me. Going to disney for both the band trip at the end of march and the senior trip at the beginning of may is a wallet killer. Especially when that wallet is nearly dead already  :)

Can't believe I wrote so much for not having played. It was fun, lets do it again sometime

That sounds like a dope idea! Seriously.

I liked reading about your progression. Don't get too caught up in the tiltless guiltless thing man. Don't get me wrong, I mean, it's good to consider just don't build your development around it. The switch from tiltless to guiltless was a tough transition for me because I forgot about just enjoying shred, yah know. too concerned with conformity. Food for thought

Keep postin them highlights yo!
First think about how to practice or don't bother practicing.

I really appreciate you taking the time to say that. I do have a bad tendency to be a bit over-competitive with things such as this, and its good to have a reminder every now and then to just take it easy. Guiltless will happen when my body is ready. Thanks :)

For a bit of time now I've been wondering about "reverse spinning." Upon further thought, a reverse spinning clipper would probably be an ingyro clipper. So tonight I went and hit ingyro clipper/osis. I think I'm going to try to get people to start saying "reverse spinning" That'll make for a good time. I'll post the videos of each trick once they're on youtube in a little bit
