Thanks Matt! Awesome dialogue throughout! It made 10 minutes feel comfortable.
Whatever disgusting perverted thing that Adam says at 5:27 made me fall on the floor in laughter.
Jays dancing at 7:10 made me cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uhhhhhhhhh, so FUN!
EDIT: Once more, Jay, it seems as though it requires serious effort to refrain from humping Anssi at 9:37.

First think about how to practice or don't bother practicing.

hehe, ya, jay is great in this video. I seriously think jay loves footbag more than anyone. I wish I had caught the part of saturday night where he hit his first ever mullets, whirligigs, and whirlwinds on both sides within about 10-15 minutes, that would have made one of the best parts of the video.

Jorden: I know how do you think it, but I´m not in same way with you
We need to know how some tricks called, for example when you want to speak with somebody about some trick we neeed to know how it´s called! when we don´t know there can be a chaos.
It´s better to know it for imagines the tricks.
For me not so much important how many adds has got trick (because in this system are some holes), but for me it´s important to see it or hit it and know the name. (not special name like blurrier, but stepping down double down)
I hope you not will be angry when you´ll read it

I say monstrous bigwalk because it's a bigwalk set from monster instead of clipper.
I think that monster and clipper happen in the same place, but with an inside stall instead of crossbody inside stall.
however, if you think monster happens in the same place as a same foot frigid osis, I could see how someone would think it's a ripwalk set from monster.
just wanted to clarify my thinking.
I see what jorden is saying in his post, but that mentality really doesn't apply to a discussion about what to call something. It's kind of frustrating to read "the premise of your discussion is wrong" instead of just a direct answer to a question.
I watched over the tape, and right before jorden hits the move, he says "what about inside surging" right before he hits it.
So, I guess he thinks it's an inside set bigwalk, despite his wonderfully buddhist claim that it's nothing and we can't name it.

The good thing about having names for the brushstrokes is that you can find more like it that gives you the same or an even stronger feeling. Also, having names doesn't take anything away from the feeling.Jorden wrote:When you look at a painting, is it the names of the brush strokes you remember, or how it makes you feel?
Which is most important?

Freestyle footbag is art. Everyone's style is unique. No two people do the same more the same way, just as no two painters can paint the exact same picture.Anz wrote:What do paintings have to do with athletics anyway?

What do paintings have to do with athletics? Everything.
Why should we care less about naming our brush strokes? Because as a result of this developing sport its an obsession.
IMO you are dead on in that Jorden's input doesn't have to apply itself in this particular discussion. Because this is the thread of an awesome movie comments/opinions about it should be here and therefor debates on detailed trick notation is as well out of place. As for monstrous (which like most things pertaining to Jorden's trick selection I've never heard of). It's fricken sick, holy frick! and I get a lot more out viewing it and imagining it than I do naming it. This thread is indeed where the video is viewed for the oh's and aw's and admiration of skill. Now when the oh's and aw's of admiration are shadowed by defining absolutes I think something can be said.
