well, this is not easy to say, but where do you see vasek in 5 years. will he still be the champ? or is there any new player who will get above his level? will he still play footbag, or will he have switched to footbal freestyle? maybe hes only gonna teach then? or maybe he will just do adverts like he does now a lot, to earn his money.
for your calculation: hes 22 now, and will be 27 then.

vasek in 5 years
interesting question. obviously, lots of legends still play who are around 30 or older. why wouldnt vasek? however, none of them are world champions anymore... because of players like vasek rising up. so.. will there be a player that comes and makes a mulroney out of vasek? i think so.
back to your question though... i think hell still be playing, but at the rate that others are getting better, and the seeming rate that vasek's skill is declining (thats just my opinion, not a fact), i dont think hell be world champ. that said, hell always be one of the greatest players ever.

Lon Smith and Scott Bevier are around that age, and I think they are both playing better than they ever have in their careers. As for what Vasek will be doing in 5 years, I think most of the drama of that question is lost now that he was beaten in routines at Worlds this year.
One thing that I WOULD be curious to see though, is what the top players in the world end up doing after they leave footbag, both hobby-wise as well as job-wise.
Well off! with a huge repatoire of tricks. He will be a bachaler for a dang long time. Unless he has a new commercial every couple of months. i heard some one say bottle juggling once. maybe go back to adult education. Designing and testing football freestyle shoes! his handsome good looks and charm will only last him so long.
as far as him loosing his game... only if he stopped training entirely. he could practice for a month and be back on top! If there was a decent dollar in this sport then he probably would stick around. I'm sure he felt a little guilty about switching the sphere around, but come on with crank a natural skillz that would have been a hard deal to close a door on. If one gets exposer then so does the other so in the end everyone is happy.

I have been refinishing floors for just as long as i have been playing and will keep working and shedding until my body won't let me anymore.
Jorden with entertain and do extremely well with that. all footbagers i have met have such amazing attribute that will help them succeed in whatever it is they take interest in. Jay Boychuck will be Prime minister and Tom will own a line a fine wallets and leather bags and shoes, all hand stitched. (he will eventually sign on a buch of footbag stitchers and start a side operation dedicated to producing the finest in luxury footbags.
what will Johnny do? hmmm. future is foggy. he will recieve his BAP tittle even though its a few year overdue. Damn Johnny you could be a model man!! Everyone here agrees!
Okay so if they can make a movie about table tennis and curling then it is just a matter of time until they hit up footbag!!! If one poetry scene can have such a powerful ripple effect, then I'm sure after a big production they amount of newer players will be wonderfully frustrating!
