re blog
long time since my last post here.
Didnt had much to write about footbag, because of my injury.
But now I think I'm totally recovered and I did my first real session this year in my little room. I have to check if I get the permission to play in the gym of my college. I think I will know it tomorrow.

It took me around 80 minutes to do my trainingplan including stretching.

opp clipper x55
ss clipper flip x50 strong x30
dri force clipper drill lvl 5
pickup's b2b x40
illusion x15
whirl x15
legover b2b x80
infinity b2b x30
flip atw x15
mirage x25
pdx mirage b2b x25
ducking clipper b2b x20
osis x20

beside footbag I dont have much to say or much time because its a lil bit late and I want to go sleep. Just in short
holidays are over and my college started yesterday
my college sucks btw, they are totally unorganized and every docent say something different etc. totally a mess.. and yeah the ironic is I'm studying logistic management there. I mean they corrected 4 of 8 questions during a exam because of the fucking translator and this is only one story... I think they spend to much money on advertising and fucking flat screens at every floor and yeah the "security" guards got a new uniform.. hip hip hooray. Lets spend our college fees for rubbish.

I met a girl during the holidays at a indie party, I know a few of her friends and she also lived in the same hometown like me. Now she studies in Maastricht (Netherlands), something with technology science, Art science and something with journalism.. dont know the exact thing.
really funny, that we both are studying in the Netherlands. We live about 70km's away.
But we or should I say she wanna do it slowly. I totally understands she and I agree with her because of the distance and the stuff we got around with studying and working, but it was kinda strange because the second date was awsome and at our last meeting she was kinda strange. unless to say that we only could see for 15min because of her and then she said this slowly stuff.. whatever
lets see whats come out.

My new years eve party at a friends flat was awesome, maybe I'll write a lil text about it in the next days.

So now I'm gonna sleep.
good night folks.

edit: woohoo page 3, if this isn't a sign that 2009 will gonna rock. ;)

Hey Chris!!

Nice to see you've stuck to your plan of resuscitating your footblog :)
Props on 40x Ducking Clipper 8O and Whirl x15!

What does the structure of your studies look like? When do you have to write your exams or aren't there any final exams in the Netherlands and just tests during the semesters ? I'm asking further to let me know when your holidays will begin ;) Perhaps we could meet and go for a little shreddy weedend :P

hey simon thanks for your post, it encourages me to write more. ^^
I dont know exactly my holidays, I know that I have one week after the easterholidays free and on Karneval, they love Karneval also like the germans ^^
We write in every quarter exams, in every quarter I have a new group of around 5-6 people and we have to hand out at the end a final report about 17 question over a fictive company and after that week we write about 6 examinations.

the list is my trainingsplan to get back into my old footbag shape.
I dont hit them all in a row, maybe a few. ;)
my current record for ducking clippers is around 6, so 3 on each side and
by whirls I think also 6, also 3 on each side.
I try to write this also in the future, so long I stick to my trainingsplan.

Today was a great day. I wrote the docent who is responsible for the gym hall 2 weeks ago and I didnt get an email till now. I tried a few times to visit him in his office but he was never there when I came. Today I had luck and I
caught him and we talked about the situation, he was very friendly and now I can use the gym twice a week for free. YEAH BABY!
At the moment I can play one hour and a half but I think I can play longer because noone use it after me. :)
And of course I had my first session in the hall before 4 hours.
I had to rush me a little through the trainingsplan because 90 minutes are not really enough. But it worked out and after that I worked a few minutes on handstands. And they have showers, thats really great.. even so my flat is 15 minutes footwalk away. ;)

my third session this year and the second this week

opp clipper x50
ss clipper flip x50 strong x30
dri force clipper drill lvl 6 1/2
pickup's b2b x40
illusion x15
whirl b2b with clipper between(clippers dont count) x30
legover b2b x50
infinity b2b x30
flip atw x15
mirage x25
pdx mirage b2b (clippers dont count) x50
ducking clipper b2b x40
osis x20

btw LOST season 5 began yesterday! naaaiiiis
now I'm gonna watch episode one and then I will fall into sleep.

good night modified.

I hate my right foot.
Today I felt the pain again at the area of my ankle, which I thought was gone but unfortunetly it aint.
nevertheless I went to the gym and started with my training, because
of the pain I could only do half of my list.

strong ss clipper 30x
PU x40
flip illusion/pixie str illusion 15x
strong whirl 15x
LO 50x
strong ss infinity 20x
flip atw 15x
mirage 25x

after that I got my pain foot a shot at clipper and strangly I didnt feel any pain?! WTF
But I didnt want to do the remaining things on my list so I just fooled around a lil bit.

my highlights
pdx whirl on first try
diving ss mirage
pixie ducking LO
pdx whirl>ducking clipper>diving ss mirage
spinning clipper

beside Footag I have this week almost every day free, but my exams start next week and I should start learning.
Me lazy mofu :/

uncommunicative people sucks btw! I mean I can handle bad and good messages but to wait for an answer almost over a week is retarted.

retarted.. that reminds me of tropic thunder, another crappy comedian hollywood movie but I loved the scene were Robert downey Jr talks to Ben stiller that you never play a full retarted. Didnt found in youtube, what a shame. :/
I heared today that robert downey jr is nominated for best side act(dunno how you call it) and I think just for this scene he should get it. ^^

now for the end I show you one of my latest vinyls I bought.
There are only 1000 copies out and I'm happy that I got one. Actually it's pretty funny, the shape is a heart but both songs are about quitting with a girl. *g*
Even so the meaning about this song is grieve, this song makes me happy. :)

my exam week is over!
I got already a few results and I'm half satisfied and half dissapointed.
now I have to rewrite some of the exams, I expected 2 that I have to rewrite
(actually one rewrite and one to write for the first time *g*), but since yesterday I know I have to rewrite 3 exams and one exam result is missing.
For the missing exam result I have actually a pretty good feeling but who knows...

After that week I got pretty good drunk at the weekend, I deserverd it. ^^

Tomorrow 2 friends of mine are coming, we are gonna hang out and smoke till we get toasted.
finally I got almost a good rythm about my old smoking habit, I bought only twice for 10€ in a shop this year. In my old days I smoked 30-40€ in a week. *g*
The other thing is that my cotenancy consists only out of smokers and It's was kinda hard at the beginning to stay clean. But now I'm getting used to it and I also prefer to stay clear in my head except a few times, like tomorrow or at the weekend.
By the way one of my friends will shred with me tomorrow, im super excited to have a shred session. solo shred sessions are really absorbing and demotivating.

On Monday I had my 7th session, my ankle isnt really recovered but I recognized that when I start my training with toe stuff, my ankle warms up doesnt hurt really. On the other side my ankle range is really limited. I dont think its because I didnt play much... There is something wrong with my ankle. On friday I get my ankle tapped and I hope that I can arrange soon a meeting with my doc.

Hey Chris,

It's nice to read your blog again. I hope you can finally fix your ankle problems in the near future!
I really like your training method and I admire your patience concerning how careful you're drilling the basics.
Remembering your game from German Open and Worlds '08 and reading about the moves you've hit your last session I am positive you could easily involve much more 3add drills in your gym sessions. Your Pixies, Ducks, Dives, DLOs and Whirls looked really good to me and now this even lies half a year in the past. Perhaps when you're really back in the game after the rather long break due to your injury.

Have a nice weedend with your friends! Hope to get something to read here again soon ;)

for the first time since I got the gym, I canceld my training.
Hadn't enough time. btw drinking and partying on workdays is so hardcore, if you really go to your university in the morning.
So yeah my weekend started yesterday. :)

Next week I rewrite one exam, should start learning tomorrow.

lately I visited RJD2's myspace page and saw that he will release a NEW album in 2009!!!! :)
I'm very glad and excited about it. Lets see what he creates, I think it will be genius in his own way. I loved his first two albums en mass, the third album was kinda unusual because it was totally another genre and concept. But after a few runs, I had my favorites songs of the album.

have a nice weekend modified.

hey modified
today was such a beautiful weather that I went a few blocks to a field to slackline. Even though I didnt were long on the line, it was pretty good.
Tried a few new things and nailed some of them. :)

for example:
walking without open arms.
juggling while walking a few step
from behind 180 ground jump
from the front 180 ground jump
walking backwards
sit down and get up again

and I beat my walking record, I think I walked in total 35 meter.

Also I had a minishredsession in my lobby which is, lets call it very tight.
At first I went barefoot and nailed clipper b2b, then I changed to unmodded lavers and I hit osis b2b. After that I had another mini session barefoot again. I drilled my flip pixie and my atomic set and both went pretty well. atomic more than my pixie, it was kinda scary that 80% of my sets went through my leg. Actually I always failed when I tried to hit one move after the set like atomic ss mirage. :D

Beside footbag, I think I will quit my study. I'm a little uncertain about the whole situation and how I should tell my parents this information.
I have a plan how I will go on, thats important but I dont know actually how they will react. The time will tell.

So good night modified.

Hey chris,

good to hear you've got time to train slacklininig/footbag whilst studying.

Why do you wanna quit ? Sounds like you're already pretty much through with your decision, as you worry about how you're going to make your parents understand your reasons.
Got alternatives ?

once again I try to blow the dust from my shred blog. Hope the dust doesnt come so fast again. ;)

There was not much Footbag in the last 6 month's, so I hadn't much to write about and what's a shred blog without shred?!
I had several things why I didnt play much. (ankle injury, cold winter, university, enter your excuse here _____ )

I moved from the netherlands to germany back, but It hasn't much effect. I still live at the border. Now just on the other side ;)
There are lot more benefits I got on the german side than on the netherland side. (everything is cheaper, more students here, more parties and my girlfriend)
I'm really happy about the decision that I moved back to germany.

And yea I'm studying now international marketing, it is so more interesting than logistics.

Before I moved to germany, I had 2 weeks an empty room to shred. That was pretty awesome, had 4 sessions there and a few times my camera was with me.

some of my highlights, nothing fancy.

OH YES, I got my singlespeed since one month and yea shredded my back wheel in that time already...
now I'am more careful with the backbrake. ;)

yeah I found a nice shred spot 3 minutes away from my flat. :)
It's aside an indoor swimming pool. So if i want, I can shred at first and
then go swimming. pretty sweet
And the wetter is getting better, I guess now I will have more outdoor session here.

Had some good runs during my session. Something like ducking clippers bs, whirls bs, dlo, pdx mirage bs, plo and some infinities. Cant really remember the exact string.. :)

phew, I didnt sleep last night at all. I just couldn't sleep.. very strange.
Today I was at the same shred spot, but my legs were pretty tired through the non extisting regeneration phase.

My best run was something like spinning clipper>small tiltless run>ducking clipper>whirl>ducking clipper>whirl>pdx mirage drop
dlo from clipper>plo (my first pixie after a dlo)
ducking clipper 6x in a row (I guess my old record is something with 14)
After that I went swimming, that was really relaxing.

I hope today I can sleep well.. ^^
