There should be an option in your browser to "view source" or "view page source".Asmus wrote:How do you embed videos like that?
Then download my stylesheet http://www.rochesterfootbag.com/Resourc ... styles.css . This defines all of the CSS classes which include background image settings and positioning of elements.
It may seem complicated at first if you are not familiar with web development, but once you get down some of the basics of HTML and CSS, you will see that this site is relatively simple.
Glad you like the site.
EDIT: I used Macromedia Flash 8 Video Decoder to convert the RFA Intro video from WMV (Windows Media) to FLV (Flash video). Then I used Macromedia Flash 8 to create a video player to play the video in a web page. Macromedia Flash 8 comes with built in video playback controls that made it a sinch to put together.

I am wearing the 08 GRASS shirt right now...
a few weeks ago, I realized, one of my favorite parts about the 08 GRASS shirt is that it doesn't say "GRASS" anywhere on it
I can wear it anywhere and not worry about someone noticing the word Grass (consciously or unconsciously) and judging me because of it.
also, I was wearing the first GRASS shirt the other day, and my jacket inconveniently covered up the letters G and R, and the footbag, so I just had a green shirt under a nice sportscoat that said "ASS" on it. You better believe I stepped into an alley and flipped that inside out on the way to the bar, thank goodness...
my first thoughts on the 09 shirt... the labels are definitely a bit of overload for my eyes.
Maybe cut all the words, and just have "Greater Rochester Area Shred Symposium 2009" at the top and "www.rochesterfootbag.com" at the bottom.
I'd say that, no matter who the player on the shirt is
I think the image we ended up going with is very understandable to the average viewer (unlike a lot of footbag "action shots") and it's a good pose with a good event name. i think that speaks for itself.
just my thoughts! I'll take two small, no matter what you put on it
I'll bring an MC bag with me for a prize. Can't waitttt!!!

Matt, the GRASS 08 shirt has GRASS 2008 on the bottom of the shoe print. It is where ADIDAS would be.

Chris,
Do you have contact information for Dan Canavan. Or if anyone has a Red Bull contact that would be great. At this point either one will do. I would just like some sponsors at GRASS. We do have Kolo Sport products coming, and we will hopefull have a good amount of footbag products to offer the general public.
Thanks.

Here's the Red Bull contact info:
845 596 6317
Katie cunningham
but that's a few years old. I'd be surprised if she's still doing it.
...and I found DC on facebook:

his contact info is:

Chris, thank you for the infromation however I feel it is too late for Red Bull.
The good news is we have Kolo Sport, Rochester Footbag, a collection of sandbags and any footbags individual stitchers care to sell. We will appear well sponsored.

GRASS 2009
Anyone willing to help out during GRASS 09, this message is for you.
If I am not present at GRASS this year on account of my child being born, Matt Cross will be running the show. Please respect any instruction or guidance that Matt gives you during this event and understand that he has a lot of responsibility weighing on him.
Jeff Peden is providing us with some tables, the exact count I do not know. One table should be dedicated as the judges table during the competitive events. We have the same corner of the Clark gym as last year. I recommend you place the judges table on the inside edge of our space facing the corner. This will allow the competitors to face the judges and the crowd at the same time, and having a table on the floor will give people a sense of boundaries and will help minimize people standing or walking in the competition space.
As for the rest of the tables, these will be used for any products being sold. That includes Kolo Sport products, Rochester Footbag t-shirts, and any footbags stitchers would like to sell. I recommend the products table be placed against one of the walls to provide some security from theft and have at least one person standing or sitting near the table at all times. If you plan on sitting on the floor and stitching bags all day, then a perfect place to do this would be near the products table. Products should be on display during Saturday only and packed up and loaded into vehicles before the Theater show.
In a future post I will discuss our possible use of the PA system.
Jorden Moir is in the theater show. Check http://rochesterfootbag.com/grass.php for the latest information.
Thank you.

The Official Rochester Footbag iPod Radio is needed for GRASS. Whomever has the iPod radio, please bring it to GRASS. We can use it for music during the competition events.
