Hmmm....lame. Post in english, when the people you are posting about don't speak or read your language. That's just childish and dis-respectful to the forum in general.

Anyway.....Kyle is a dick, but he is allowed to hold an opinion, and anyone who responds to that with threats and irrational insults is 10 times worse than anything he has posted in here. "Break his face?" Are you 10 years old?

He is also right. Vasek isn't as good as he was in 2005-2006. He can still dominate in routines, where he just hits the same stuff every time, but where is the innovation? Remember when he hit symp whirr? I feel like his game has lost the spark it once had.

jeffs post is completely correct, everyone that takes kyle serious needs to step back and look at his real persona, he is nothing like his internet self AKA LEGOMAN.

remember as I said this is a Forum....on the internet.....where ANYONE can have an opinion. love it or hate it, respect it. if thats what kyle thinks, then let it be.

also please post in English. I only say this because most of the users in modified only speak English and its respectful.

so after using google translator i got something along the lines of "kyle you chose your card, now accept your fate" kind of thing, although google translator doesnt work 100% with all words, it seems like it misses a few here and there.

I could be wrong though, thats the impression i got out of the translation

I do not agree with those that think that bad internet behavior is excusable because a person has different real life behavior.

The internet IS real life. Just because you say something on a computer screen doesn't mean it isn't interpreted by real human beings in real places around the world, causing them to feel real emotions and sometimes to take real actions.

Kyle's behavior on modified is what affects my life (makes me frustrated, makes me disappointed, makes me disgusted). His behavior in real life affects me in no way whatsoever. Why is it that I should disregard his behaviors that DO affect me, and take into account his behaviors that do not affect me?

as for the part about everyone having an opinion...

Kyle's opinion is that Vasek is past his prime, that "the mighty [has] fallen".

Other people express the opinion that Kyle is harsh, off-base, unqualified, over-reacting, hyper-critical, uninformed, etc etc...

So Kyle responds angrily, becoming more and more uncooperative and unproductive.

Then, we have people coming to his defense - "His opinion is valid! it's the internet, and he can say whatever he wants!"

So, if it's valid for him to have the opinion that our hero is washed up, why is it not valid for me to have the opinion that Kyle is wrong, and to have the further opinion that he's a jerk, not for having a different opinion than me, but for expressing it like a hemorrhoid-ridden, unfed wolverine-badger hybrid?

It seems to be that Kyle wants to say whatever he wants all the time, and experience no disagreement, backlash, etc.

He wants to make inflammatory comments, and then, when they receive the predictable inflamed responses, he claims that he is being unfairly attacked, which leads him to justify even worse behavior and even more inflammatory comment making. This is a vicious cycle that Kyle is not able to control.

This is an issue that has come up with Kyle multiple times in the past few years, in a predictable way.

No one can cite any benefit that he offers to the modified community or the footbag community as a whole that can make up for, or otherwise justify, this behavior.

This type of behavior predictably and consistently ruins discussion and sours the mood on the forum.

I vote for a permanent ban.

Matt, i never said that his behavior is excusable,and I agree with you that it in fact is not. Kyle's internet behavior is less than perfect. Ive known him for a long time I grew up with the kid. and as kyle can have an opinion of a washed up vasek so can you have an opinion of kyle being wrong. thats perfectly normal. In fact I kind of agree with you. I believe Vasek is still one of the best if not the best freestyler still to this day.the one thing I don't like about the internet is you cannot express tone of voice. and this ( in my opinion) is what makes arguing/discussing issues on an internet forum bad. you can never tell if people are telling the truth/messing with you/ and blatantly being a dick.

theres nothing saying that he cant be banned. if its against the rules theres no reason for him not to be.

I still stand with my Idea of "its the interent, get over it" mindset. its fun to push buttons with people who live mile and miles away from you because that cant do anything to stop them from saying things. and this brings me back to my point of kyle wouldnt say these things in really to peoples faces, and if he did I know he would do it in a civil manner unlike the exact opposite here on the interwebs.

I get what you're saying - people should have a thicker skin in general when on the internet. But we should be better than this. A lot of us know each other to varying degrees in real life, or we're at most like three degrees of separation away from each other.

Just because people are often dicks on the internet isn't a very good justification for any of us to be dicks just because we're on the internet.

Also - Vasek is still phenomenal.

holy crap lots of posts. The only thing that has disappointed me about vasek is lack of non-competition, especially non-routine videos. Although right now I can't complain because there are a bunch of vasek vids on this forum right now and I was the only one that posted a routine

Anyways, from this video and the one cod posted it looks more like he just out of practice, like he hasn't been playing that much and may be a bit rusty. That sounds weird to say though because he can "lazily" hit montage, ripstein, and other things. Besides, IF it is actually the case that he hasn't been playing that much then vasek being demoted to "arguably" the best shredder in the world (currently) is still pretty damn impressive. I don't think he's past his prime, I just think he has other interests like freestyle football.

Wow. Pathetic. I'm almost disgusted with how easy it is to get people wound up and to CARE about nothing. You can easily go to another page or just turn off your computer if you don't like something. Or lock the topic or delete posts or ban or pm or 1000 different options then just posting "Kyle is a dick" over and over.

The difference is, I'm trying to move towards getting the powers that be to act on one of those other options, and you are chiming in just enough to let everyone know how very very disappointed you are.
