NEW TRICK - GAY WALK - JOSH GAYHEART

Post by VIKINGWARRIOR »

This was recorded in Pittsburgh last month. It's Josh Gayheart preforming a new, self-titled trick, "GAY WALK". He said that he hasn't seen anyone attempt it, so when he did, he made sure to make it his own. CHECK IT OUT!

I am really happy that you posted this vid. Perhaps now he will finally get ownership of this trick's name, as he has been hitting it for some time. The first time I saw him hit this was at least a year ago, and prior to hitting it he footed symposium bubba op dod at least twice.

And, thus, the most truly ironic footbag name of all time has been seared into the timeline of footbag history. :twisted: :lol:

(seriously though- I am dying over here)

These barfly's dexes are more clean than I've seen in many plasmas, scorpion's tails, fusions! Props!

I don't think you hit gyro stepping symp bubba opp butterfly. That sounds literally impossible. Maybe surging bubba, but not surging symp bubba set. Let's get real here bud lol.

Well, more possible is to hit Surging Symp Bubba than Surging Bubba. With the second one the footwork would be fancy!

I disagree, although I'm a little confused.

Are we talking;

clip>spin>same in>symp same out>>

This is what I'd assume surging symp bubba set is, and I find it very hard to believe somebody could do a surging set, plant that foot and then do an uptime symp dex with it.

Alternatively you could be talking about;

clip>spin>same in>symp op out>>

This seems more possible. It may also be possible to hit a set> downtime flailing butterfly - but that's obviously not a "gaywalk" and a lot older trick.

The symp bubba barfly is insane.

Is that really props from O-Wheeler?

Yeah, this isn't really new. I first hit it back in high school (I think?). Which was early '04. Recently, I've been doing it midstring and adding different elements to this set. I absolutely appreciate the recognition though, from everyone and the Erie scene.

I have to get up there (and drag Matt and Ian) for a weekend.

What I hit was .
Starting on the left clipper, suriging, then an uptime symposium illusion dex with the right foot, then land , then same side butterfly ending on the left clipper. Unlike his trick the uptime illusion dex is done with the other leg 8)

Within the week, Ill try to hit it again and put it in tape

Just to clarify, the momentum from the surging is what lifts the support leg to do the next dex.
Any way sorry to topic away from the original trick ,

Josh , both tricks u hit are ridiculously sick !!!!!!!! 8O

O, well, I forgot that Bubba has Same Side in it. Surging Symposium Bubba Butterfly would be Clip > Spin > Same In > Plant > Symp Same Out >> Op Out > Op Clip. Definitely impossible :P.

In "Surging Symp Bubba Set Opp Butterfly", the support leg isn't the one doing the next dex. As far as I know, bubba implies same-side which means after the spin, you're dexing with the leg closest to that side, basically the side closest to the step. Which in turn is why then planting that leg and symp dexing it uptime is literally impossible.

I think the move you're talking about would simply be an op flailing dex after the surge, and a much more realistic move than any mentioned.

For clarity - Was what you hit a triple dex?

Thanks,
Go out and shred already.
