Had a nice session at a local gym kind of place. Here's the vid. I hit some pretty good stuff for me in it. Thanks for filming goes to Cale. I really appreciate that he's been willing to just watch me play and film me while he's recovering.
I'm most proud of the last string.

had a session at the local YMCA, hit some good stuff I'm really proud of.
Blurry Whirl bsos multiple times
Barrage>Dbl switchover>rpt
Ripwalk>Sidewalk>rpt
Jani Walker bsos
Sunil Walker bs
(EDIT) Forgot eggbeater and dlo both bsos in run one.
Lots of dbl downs on both sides.
This was a good session, especially with the furious stuff. I've never hit a furious move bsos, let alone in the middle of a string, so after I hit Jani bsos I was ecstatic. I can actually see myself hitting nemesis in the next couple of months.
Wish I had filmed this session because it was one of my better ones. Anyways, hope you liked the previous video, double dyno bsos is probably one of the hardest things I've ever done in footbag, so I'm happy about that.

Had a decent sesh today, worked some more of the basic sets and three and four adds, I'm working more to long strings of moderate difficulty and more variety then short strings with high difficulty and low variety. So lets see...
Barfly>infinity>infinity>Barfly>infinity>infinity>rpt x3
Blender>Gyro clipper bsos
Blender>Spinning Clipper>Rpt
Blender>Merkon bsos
DDD bsos
Magellan>DOD>Infinity>Pdx Mirage>rpt
That's it for today. I discovered that spinning out of blender is he coolest feeling out there, I liken it to the running of a knife through a bar of soft butter. It's smooooooth.
I got the video of me hitting Jani Bsos, but I don't know If I'll post it. If someone wants I can post it though. I didn't have enough good footage from that session to make a video.
See ya around.

Today was a really good day, for the most part... School actually went well, I got to ride on a motorcycle for the first time ever to my first voice lesson with one of Oregon's most prestigious voice teachers at SOU, and then got to hang out with Cale. Now here comes the bad part. I played Footbag.
Now this would under normal circumstances be one of the really good parts of the day. Not in this case. My first mistake was forgetting to bring water (Whoops!) Second mistake was that I ignored that and kept playing besides what my body was telling me. Third mistake, I tried a low fast barfly when at the peak of my fatigue. I rolled my flippin' right ankle AGAIN! This is like the 3rd time in the last couple of months I've rolled this ankle, and I'm starting to worry that I've damaged it beyond repair. It really hurts right now, and I can't crank it worth shitz. I'm going to ice it soon and see where i can go from there, but I'm really worried. Anyone have any advice for what I should do about this. I know I shouldn't have been playing as hard as I was on such little energy. Stupid.
I hit some ok stuff before that though.
Eggbeater>PLO>rpt
DLO>PLO>rpt
Blender>Scorpions Tail (both sides I think...?)
Spinning Clip>Gyro Clip>rpt
Here's a question for all you shredders out there. Do you think a lot of little 40 minute to an hour sessions (Like one every day) are better then a couple super long sessions (like one every three or four days)? Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Ankle was feeling better today (Thank the omnipresent being for ice) so decided to have a light session. I think this session was the first time I've ever really WARMED UP. Like I've never devoted the first ten minutes of a session to drilling tiltless. I think there was one 80+ contact tiltless string in there, and it felt good. After that I just did some light shredding. Did a lot of back to back PLO's with good high sets. It felt really good.
Worked drifters a little more today and hit:
Drifter>Ducking Clip>Ducking Clip>rpt
Drifter>Spinning Clip>rpt
doing a controlled spin out of drifter is so hard. It won't be like that forever though, as long as I practice smart.
After a bit of thought I've come to the conclusion that to progress really well in this sport (or in any endeavor) you have to not just practice, you have to practice well. My voice teacher told me that it's not practice that makes perfect, it's perfect practice that makes perfect performance. So I'm going to start cutting down the length of my sessions so that I can focus on things for the period of time when I have control before I get tired and sloppy, which leads to a tired and sloppy style all the time. I'm hoping that by adopting this philosophy I'll be able to improve my string length, endurance, form, and trick selection. There's only so much you can accomplish in one session, so I'm not going to try forcing every concept I know into one huge practice session.
Basically.
Another thing, I probably won't be making any more videos for a bit, so just giving all ya golden lads and girls the heads up.

I forgot to post this earlier but during today's session I also hit:
Leggy Refraction
Toe set motion (not toe ss motion) bs
Twas cool, since I never really do motions, but I consider myself at least ok at Barfly's (even though I harm my physicality so often because of them) and freaking awesome at Dyno. It's just a double down where you do a Dyno after the first dex instead of following through.
And that's all i have to say.
Good day/night to you sirs and sirsettes.

Had a nice session today.
Warmed up with some dexless drills, things like duck>dive>rpt and Duck>Spin>rpt and the like. It was nice, and it feels like my flip spin is getting better.
My pixies are getting better as well. I hit:
PLO x8>Smear>PLO>rpt, I was happy about that.
I also spent some time to analyze Eggbeaters and DLO's to see if I could make them any easier. Not only did I find a way to make my eggs easier, they're cleaner now too.
The second major thing I worked was stepping, mainly positioning. It still didn't feel right. Then I realized what I was doing wrong. I was holding my clipper to far forward of my leg, which was making it hard to get the spring for the step. After some minute adjustments I was able to make my stepping easier and faster.
Now the real challenge of applying these changes to game begins. I know I'll be a better player because of it though, so it's most definitely worth the couple of sessions devoted to re-learning.
Thanks for reading.

Had a great session today, hit some great stuff.
Warmed up again with dexless stuff with a heavy emphasis on ducking/diving concepts. I was able to hit:
Ducking clip>diving clip>rpt>ducking clipper x2>weaving clip>zulu clip>rpt>some more ducking clippers>drop
First time I've ever really linked ducking and diving tricks into one run. I worked spinning some more and hit Gyro clip>spinning clip>rpt again.
After that I drilled some tiltless with interspersed ducking and spinning moves.
After warming up I decided to isolate my whirls and drifters and did some theme runs for the two concepts. I hit every basic form of whirl and drifter in two different runs (Toe, Toe ss, Clipper) My drifters have really improved since I started working them about a week ago.
Worked some more on stepping, no new developments there. Just tried doing ripwalk x2>handcatch over and over again with high sets. I need to straighten my back when I step. I realize I hunch over a lot and create a kind of umbrella over the bag with my upper body to get high steps and I don't want that. It's hard to get good steps now when I straighten my back, but I think it'll end up making it easier. So I must persevere.
Eggbeaters and DLO's some more.
DLO>PLO>rpt again
Egg>PLO>rpt a couple times
Egg and DLO bsos in one run
The more I do them the easier they become. I just need to set the right height every time. Eggbeaters are so intensive you have to get the set and leg movement just right to avoid hitting yourself or making the first dex the. They're so flappin' rich of vitamin awesome I need them in my repertoire.
Did a tiny bit of work on double downs, but they aren't my focus right now. On the other hand I was able to hit a new drill:
Barfly>DDD>rpt
I was pretty proud, though I think the flip DDD was the. I'll put those moves through the wash soon and they should come out clean as a white pair of underwear.
Last but not least, Jani bsos again. I got it 3rd try. The first furious set was up to my waist, I was like WHHHHAAAATTTTT, real!
That's it.
Peace be with you.

Thanks Pat, I appreciate the compliment.
Had a pretty good session today. Worked more eggbeater stuff and hit some long time goals of mine.
Pigbeater bs
Eggbeater>plo>rpt x2
Pdx Egg>dimwalk>rpt (Hit first flip pdx egg, then bsos before attempting this drill)
Pixie ss pickup> magellan>smear>pixie ss mirage>rpt
Fairy ss pickup>fairy ss legover>fear>tapping pickup>rpt
Ripwalk>ripwalk>blur>dimwalk>rpt
Fairy ss mirage>tap>rpt
I felt really good about the pixie and fairy drills, and the pdx eggbeater>dimwalk drill felt so rich in vitamin smooth move.
