I had a lot of fun today

Just did what I was good at, did'nt put any effort on stepping tricks or hard tricks.

I also put on some routine songs to finish the session, and used some 2 adders to fill up and played on beat, many 1 minute runs. Guess I won't have any problems to busk this summer!

New tricks: flip spin ingyro toe and flip wauxspin
New bsos trick: Atomic muted clip

phoenix-tomahawk-pdx torque- pdx blendrop
was my first shot at 5-5-5-5 and footed it on first try 8O

I could actually change pdx blender to motion-pdx blender and go for 5 5`s, but that's just seeing too far away. I could probably do it but within 100 tries, not worth it.

flux on one side, hit it 3 times, one felt pretty clean

Ianek told me to do clipper set illusion really high for this, and it helped a lot.

So I tought, why not do the same for my stepping, and it helped me lift my leg and I hit flip blur with a pretty nice step, I doubt I ever had one feel so good. Did the same with blurry whirl but it's not really harder once the set is there.

hit a fun drill : ducking clip - spin osis - drifter - gyro osis - rpt

had a sess today, footed gyro flux couple of times, I got no idea if the attempts where clean.

Also worked on steps for a while.

I recall a flip blur with proper stepping to atomsmasher and it felt pretty easy. Besides that, not much actual shred.
One cool link : gyro guay - ss dyno

Heres a video from some runs from march 2nd (or some date close not sure)

gyro whirl - twirl

ended session by saying, fuck, i need to do more long runs.

So I did a lot of 20`s, then said I need 30, so I took all the stuff I suck at and did it.

I want to hit all my tricks and it still does'nt work, so I decided to stop one thing for a while, I will now only step on one side, the one that actually progresses.

I footed whirlygig today, but doubt it was clean, at least I feel how to set now.

Still in the process to correct flip clipper timing, it's a bad habbit and hard to fix.

It's better after a duck, so I can hit whirr once out of 3 from a ducking clipper, but from clipper like 1 out of 10

Today I tried weird stuff

whirling set cloud kick osis (could'nt hit something else, control sucks on clouds)
close to whirling pincher

far legover stallberger (actually this proved to be hard, footed it flip many times)

worked on pdx whirl to spin, trying to get this constant, so I decided that in order to understand I needed to find a way to get straight sets.
Here are the keys that helped me improve this combo and got me to hit pdx whirl - spinning ducking clipper a few times and finish sess with constant spins out of pdx whirl:
pivot while hopping from support leg
switch elbow pointing up while going for pdx whirl (so that opposite elbow of clipper points up for stall and set)
try to set straight for the whirl as much as possible
like any spinning trick, catch the bag as close and as behind as possible

2 hours solo sess
10 mins working on whirls
1 minute on steps, skipped to something more efficient
1,5 hours on atomics

did some runs with legbeater bsos 2x

also some runs with atomsmasher bsos

My goal was to do 10 legbeater both sides (just counting run after run)
then I said, another 10 each side, ended up doing a lot

then went to atomsmasher, said 5 both sides, but did over 30-40 both sides, at first it was easier then ever since I just worked atomic, at the end it was getting harder, but I was tired.

then messed around with torques, on my good side I barely lift the leg, being lazy, I fixed that and torque was ON. Flip is still not too controlled but can be hit easy, just that I can't do many tricks after

I found my routine song, I need to find the earlier version of the song, remix it for a great 2 minutes.

had a 2 hour session with Ianek.

Like the past weeks, poor quality session on my side.

Then I went to Place des Arts to kick a bit (in pants and hoodie because its still a bit cold)

even tough I was not wearing shred gear I could tell a huge difference in my game, I like concrete so much it's ridiculous.

The plan for next 2 weeks : work on my routine on 10 days out of 14

routine practice started today.

Mostly me playing on the same music for over 1 hour with very little breaks.

I experimented some stuff, got some sections pretty much done, but still need to dial them.

I need to write all the tricks section by section now and practice them individually.

When I was completely exhausted, I put up Libertango from Bond and played over 2mins15 dropless (very low difficulty, maybe 4 tricks with sets only), but still was pleasant to hit such a long run with some crowd material.

I'm thinking of starting to busk this wednesday after work.

today was first busk of the year

15$ in one hour, kind of low.

I can do better since my setup was weak, and I did'nt have a freidnly way to accept money. But I tested some new tricks to get money and I was'nt deceived.

Also had to play with my right shin hurting, this never happens so it was hard to be constant and not drop, but I did good.

2 guys came and talked to me at first, one says 1$ for a cool trick
datw = 1$

The other says, "that was nice, but 2$ for something sick"

Mobius = 2$

It's nice to be constant on mobius again :D

Props on Montage! I feel like you could do gangsta party as well.

Did you routine practice with no breaks to get your endurance and stamina up?

I have never busked before, Where do you go to do it? Do you ever get hassled from security or anything like that?

I play in a public area a lot in the middle of lots of people walking around and no one has ever give me anything (besides a Mormon guy trying to convert people who gave me a Jesus card)

Hope we get to kick before the next NYJ

As for busking last year we experimented many areas and found one that works best and no one ever kicks us out, it's metro mont-royal.

Today me and Mathieu Giard busked for 50 minutes, made 18$ each, still not crazy but respectable.

Monday I intend to go busk at the Bell Center before the canadiens game vs the bruins, I'm hoping a lot towards that.

For the routine, I had no time this week, pretty sad.

For gangster party, I can't hit mind blender, so I doubt I could do it :(
