David
I had something written and deleted it. If you know me, you know my reasons for not going to tournaments, and you know that I don't even really play anymore. My life is just really hectic, but at the same time I have a much better balance than I did in my younger years.
For the record, I do not think I am better than Europe and I have admiration and respect for anyone who has attained such a high level as play as the many people on that side of the world. I'm sure I'll shred there one day.

Let me clear something up, since I can't do it there because thread is closed.
My post wasn't supposed to be a straight attack at your person, I just got extremely pissed of when someone criticized (not sure if this word exists in you language, im not native forgive me) Vasek in pretty rude style and used comparison between you and him since you guys are two really different players with one common thing, you guys took your skill into unimaginable, for us casual players, level.
My post was an effect of emotions caused by Kyle's extremely negative and offensive post.
Anyway, still We got a hope you will visit Europe. ^.-
Peace

in my opinion, there's no "clearing up" or otherwise justifying what radek said. It was offensive and rude and completely without base, and furthermore, this non-apology excuse above my post is bullshit...
[edit] my bad, confused Radek with Radek Deko. Well, Radek obviously doesn't know David, or he'd never say that.[/edit]
You're a truly great player, and a great friend, david. I hope you get drawn back into the sport.

Hey Dave,
I hope your body is treating you well, and that you are securing yourself a career for when you graduate. This economy is hard, and you are lucky to be a student during the thick of it (hopefully it will improve.)
I always felt that someone like yourself, a role-model to many, shared the interest of their admirers by taking care of themselves. I appreciate your public honesty about your frustration with the sport.
Though I do, of course, share Matt's sentiment that we hope you find your way back to the sport, it's not as though you should feel obligated. I think you have already demonstrated a level of mastery, maturity and self-discipline that has gone unparalleled in this sport / community. And. it's not as though the "international community" could ever reciprocate.
I'm looking forward to hanging out next time you visit PGH.

It's too bad that the thread sort of moved into your blog, but you posted about it here so I'm assuming it's fine with you that it happened. I hope that someday you'll be able to exist without people expecting explanations for the way you live your life; traveling or not, playing or not.
Hope to talk with you soon,
Emily

It was a pleasure to see you play again at NYJ in Chicago. I don't know if I've told you this early this year, or after NYJ. Regardless, my memories of your shred is still writhing with life in my head and I feel that the kinship between footbaggers is something irreplaceable.
Do what you think is best in your life, David. Keep moving forward.
PS: If you get back into stitching, I'd be glad to buy a bag from you sometime.

Hey.
So the bug bit me the other day and I decided to throw on the shoes and kick some hack. The sun was setting and I climbed a few flights of stairs to the top of the parking deck by my apartment. It was really fun. Since then I've played with Scott and he frikken slaughtered me. Video of that when I get a spare hour.
So the video you are about to see is me in kind of a rough spot. I've probably played 7 times in the past 3.5 months. Hopefully that will change as school starts to wind down.
I'd really like to know what you think though. I tried to be a little fresh with the style and I'm still debating keeping the new units. Let me know.

I hope it works. My girlfriend's computer had it lookin pretty crappy but I could still tell what was going on. I did it in IMovie and didn't know how to compress it right.
Thanks.

The vid worked!
Great stuff Dave! It's nice to see that you're still kicking. Lot's of really unique links, it looked as if you've been kicking a lot more than you have. Your style looked great! I don't know if I like your game better in Units or in Quantums, both look great! I'll definitely be watching this vid again!
Thanks for putting it out!

David this video was beautiful. I love how the level of play you just demonstrated is "out of practice" for you. SICK! For want of not giving any spoilers I'll list all the times in the vid when i sat jaw dropped in a drunken like state of perpetual awe.
00:08 and subsequent run, 00:36 and subsequent run, 01:02 and 01:20 in same run, so sick!, 01:37 a tad bit insane, 02:17 nice touch, 02:20 is pretty good and 02:27 in the same run that link is freakishly stylee, 03:03 and 03:16 later in the run were loverly, 03:30 onward is delectable.
It's good to see you playing again David, watching this video was almost as good as my first time.
the units are fine, I personally don't see any difference in your style as you go through shoes, though you probably rock a maxed out style meter in a pair of Monty Wards.
Love your footbagage, you're pretty much like Han Solo, but instead of a block of carbonite you're stuck in a block of awesome.

I noticed that most of it was genuine. Props on that. Your style looks good in any shoe so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
I noticed little things that show you're a little rusty, but it's really only minute things. You still hit ridiculous stuff cleanly and controlled.
