Birkenstocks

Post by dudex »

So I use birkenstocks for hackin. I just got a pair of lavers and like the birks better for inside/clipper stalls. Actually I like them better all the way around. The only drawback is that there is no heel. I am thinking of getting a pair with a heel strap. Anyway just wondering if anyone else has tried birks and if they still use them or moved on to other shoes.

I've definitely used them, and they're nice and light. I remember hearing about some guy who played in them exclusively, and was hitting frantic atomic set in them or something like that.

They're nice for stalls and casual play and such, BUT

the cork gets slippery from sweat, and they have no support or stability. Also, they're kind of expensive, and footbag with DRAMATICALLY shorten the life of your nice sandals.

I recommend you put in some more time with the lavers, do the proper mods, and keep the birks for casual kicking.
