If any WOMEN are planning to attend and compete in open routines, please let me know ASAP. As of now, I know of no women coming, hence we would not be ordering medals for Women's routines. Thanks!

If you're sure you're coming, please also go ahead and choose the "Pay Using PayPal" option so you can avoid waiting in line at check-in and/or dealing with anything else after this point.

I also encourage all you freestylers who are coming (competitors and sideline shredders) to register for NOVICE NET, as this is a great, fun event that is being offered specifically for all you shredders by Senor Grommet. It actually gets you a $10 discount off your registration fee if you're competing (but not if you're just a sideline shredder) and is free otherwise.

The novice net doesn't start 'til late in the day Saturday, after the Ebell room closes.

Other updates, not sure if everyone knows: Freestyle Superstars Peter Irish (on this thread), Lon Smith, and Ryan Mulroney will also be in attendance! If you're nice, they may even shred with you.

Also, Dave Clavens, Gordon Bevier, and Jay Boychuk are coming from far, far away for this event!

Finally, FYI, I'm totally full up on lodging/transportation so please don't ask if you can stay with me. The hotel in Oakland is awesome, you should stay there. (Scroll back to page 3 to see Jeremy's post on hotel options, or see the event listing on the website for more information.)

Yes there is.

If you are going to shred, you get to pay a venue fee, which is 20 dollars.

Monday, in Golden Gate Park, is free for all players and spectators. There will be limited bleacher seating, but feel free to bring your own comfy chairs.

There will of course be food and drinks for sale. We will have Lagunitas beer on tap, Margaritas and Palomas as well, made with Tommy's Tequila and mix, and tri-tip sandwich lunches.

I BELIEVE that registered competitive players who pay an entry fee can drink all of the beer they would like, whereas non-competitors will have to pay "regular" prices.
