What does make players to quit footbag?

It's hard to focus on something that doesn't go anywhere... if there were actual opportunities to live off of footbag it would make a HUGE difference on players quitting or not, especially the for the top-tier players. It's almost impossible once you're in the real world (ie: out of school) to really make time for footbag, and even if you do, your day job or whatever normally saps your energy and just makes it that much tougher to will yourself to play.
You couldn't be any more right. If I could have made a living from footbag I'd still be playing 8 hours a day. Now it would be impossible to play at the level I did 6 years ago with my current schedule. I've been putting the lavers on about once a week now. Hopefully I can find some time to play this summer.

Yeah Ricky! Shred on. It's good to take long breaks so you don't wear out your body.I'll never quit footbag.
Hard work never fails.

i've quit several times. i have no idea why i still play. i guess its just a huge part of me. i'm only twenty years old and i've been playing over five years. i get sick of it from time to time, but it always comes back to me. i've been through numerous injuries, major and minor, and I have a full time job at Reebok where i'm on my feet all day 35+ hours a week. sometimes around midnight i put on some lavers and bust for 30 minutes, and on my days off i try to play. if i work night shifts, i try to shred with jeff before work. work seems a bit miserable after shredding, but i always seem to make it through. it really takes a lot of effort and strength to keep pushing myself at this sport especially when i'm a full time student and employee.
I don't even know why I keep shredding. I think its for the people. People like my game, and I enjoy props and seeing people who I can get along with for no reason in the world aside from putting on some hacky shoes and kicking at tournaments and at home. People are really impressed with the sport, we just need a few lucky breaks.
television and video games are great once in a while, but they don't go anywhere either.
Stay strong and stick with it.
