Played early today to try and avoid the heat. Turns out it was really fricken hot anyway.

Started today off playing with a spiked footfighter. Probably my second least forgiving bag. Worked on basics for a long time. It was good having to really try for each stall. Also did some new drifter stuff with said footfighter.

After changing bags I think I just mainly worked on bettering pixie. I was able to get the set deep and it felt good. No full drills but it still helped.

Highlights:

-Toe set drifter bs
-Drifter x2
-Infinity > ss butterfly x2 > rpt > infinity > infinity
-Easy tiltless for the most part

Finally got stuff to fill in the cups of my climacools. Hopefully I'll find the time to do it this week

Almost forgot. As I've said before, for my Eagle Scout project I did a trail. My trail is being officially opened today :)

Enjoy the day

Got to play today for a bit before going to see wolverine.

Had an interesting session. I've come to realize that when I hit certain concepts for the first time, I hit them on the side that seems to ultimately become my flipside. First example: whirl. First hit hit with left leg being the dexing leg. Once I got more into them, right leg has been dominating. Second example: stepping. Always practiced the dex with the left leg and never got it. I then hit my first ripwalk with right leg doing the stepping. Now, while right leg seems maybe more reliable, I get more better sets from the left leg. Third example: drifters. Tried both equally in the beginning. First hit it with right leg dex. While they're still new for me and I can generally do them both, drifter with left leg dex seems much more reliable in strings and such.

weird.

Highlights:

-Some decent looks at some drifter drills.
-muted fairy clipper > drifter (not big, just felt styley)
-kicked myself really hard trying pdx mirage > muted atomic clipper
-28 contact string with strong pixie ss clipper, flip muted pixie clipper, dragonfly bsos, then some other random usual tiltless stuff.

Good enough session for having played indoors

Yay going to disneythis morning for second time in 5 weeks. Last time it was band trip, this time senior trip :)

and btw, channel 9 did a segment on my school's marching band the other night, it was pretty darn cool if I do say so myself. Not enough facetime for the lower brass though

And hopefully I'll have some shred time at the resort

Later 8)

I'm baack

Got to play twice in disney. No big highlights, just some nifty things.

Highlights:

 Started off both sessions with the spiked footfighter. I think its helping pretty well with some of the basics
 A good blurry whirl that I could have easily played out of but was too stupid to think to do so.
 pixie whirl. Whirl was weak whirl so I like that. Was runnin out of energy to hit it other side.
 A not so good phoenix but whatevs
 Ducking clipper > spinning clipper > rpt
 Drifter bsos in a BOP string
 Started to look at some appartments in BOP city for a little bit.

Okay I lied about there being no big highlights. I forgot it until now. When looking for a shred spot for the first session, I saw something crazy. I saw a wild armadillo! I know this may not sound crazy to many but it is for me. Think of the people who rarely or never get to see the ocean. Thats how it was for me lol.

The trip was going so well until I got sick at the airport/on the plane on the way back. Grr.

After tennis I was jonesin for some footbag, so I played after dinner until dark. It was a hit tricks session, just for fun.

Highlights:

 backside tap. couldnt pull it off flipside
 stampede
 flip pixie whirl
 footed food processor 8O 3 times. The first time was set to be golden, but after the blender, as I was spinning for the hand catch, my hand whacked the bag and it went flying :x The other two times went askew just cause.
 clipper set barrage bs. kinda new. one side was undoubtedly clean while the other was questionable
 atomsmasher first try each side. Not new, just pleasant

Next session I'll get back to the real world and work on strings, drills, blah, blah, blah. Its good to have some fun every once in a while

Normal session today. Short though, maybe just under an hour. I'm trying Anz' program thing where you just string for ten songs. It was pretty tiring as expected. No real highlights, just some decent length strings. I was happy about the session. I'm not sure if I'll try this every session or do it every other session. Any suggestions?

On another note, my friend Tony was on a trip to Rutgers and saw something in the school store that he just had to get for me. An actual "hacky sack" lol. Its the 14 panel striker model. the package says its hand-stitched, so I looked at the stitching and its soo inconsistent. It comes with the instructional manual talking about circle kicking, freestyle, and net. Some of the descriptions are just funny imo.

I also just saw star trek. Twas pretty darn good.

Yes.

I believe its roughly between 1 and 1.5 hours drive. But yeah, hopefully this can be a footbagful summer for NJ!

I just kicked for maybe an hour or so just cause I could.

Messed around with a lot of stuff just cause. A few highlights:

- Infinity > ripwalk > infinity > infinity > ripwalk > infinity
- Smear > symp mirage > butterfly > pdx mirage > rpt > ducking clipper > drop
- Spinning clipper > drifter > rpt (finally!!!!!!! I've wanted to hit this for like the past 3 weeks and just couldn't. When I finally did, it felt so nice and decently controlled. :D )

Today was also my last tennis match, which I won 6-3, 6-2. Being my last match of the third sport season, it means it was my last high school sports game everrrr :( I was bummed at the end of soccer and at the end of bowling, but now its officially over. At least I went off on a win lol

Now to finish reading Candide. Geez Voltaire is my new hero.

Kicked again today after school.

Stringed during 5 songs today instead of 10. I didn't want to completely die early on. In retrospect, maybe this is something I should finish off sessions with. Both times when I did it (both in the beginning), I wasn't fully warmed up maybe, and the only thing consistent that I could do was tiltless. I couln't throw in as many 3's as I'd like to.

Highlights:

 Ducking clipper > ss butter > rpt
 Smear > PLO > rpt
 Spinning clipper > gyro clipper > rpt

The last two I've been trying for a while to no avail. Felt nice to finally hit them.

Marching band practice tomorrow during school for the memorial day parades. Should be fun lol

Played again after school. Mainly a drilling session.

Highlights:
 infinity x24
 legover x20 > pickup x19 (got too cocky at the end and dropped the 20th :( )
 pdx whirl bs for the 2nd time this week
 whirl > drifter > rpt
 ripwalk x3

For the ripwalks I was trying to do the b2b starting from the other side, which I had yet to accomplish. It randomly just clicked and I did the two, but that wasn't all. I guess my legs were just so happy about it that they just decided to do a 3rd one. I didn't even think to do it. I love it when that happens :)

I learned something seemingly valuable today. (late night white castle) + (early morning shred) = bad

Bad at least you stop feeling sick once there are some clouds to semi block the burning sun.

Had a pretty decent session this morning. I strung for 5 songs but I couldn't really do it for the 5th song cause thats when I felt like I was gunna throw up. But I did my warmup to music too so maybe it kinda balances out.

Highlights:

 legover x20 > pickup x21 (challenge finally complete)
 whirl > drifter > rpt again. (got it like first or second try so I was happy about that)
 ducking clip > diving clip > rpt again. (I needed to work on that a bit. I've been negligent)
 flip tripwalk finally
 tripwalk bsos :D
 flip spinning ducking clipper finally
 spinning ducking clipper bsos :D

I think thats all the noteworthy stuff.

On another note, I had a marching band parade yesterday and it went pretty well. My final marching band parade of highschool for me is tomorrow. I think this is my final final thing of highschool lol, except for the actual school days.

Alrighty, time to get ready for work.

Finally got to play today. Ended up being a really good session

Highlights:

 MUCH better osis control
 osis > spinning butter bs
 osis > gyro mirage bs
 osis > little apple
 ss butter > osis > pdx mirage x 20 ish contacts
 ss butter > spinning clipper > osis > pdx mirage > rpt > butter > ducking clipper > osis > infinity and/or drop
 ss butter > spinning clipper > osis > pdx mirage > symp mirage > rpt > butter > ducking clipper
 osis x9 to warm down

Then it got dark

Only like 18 days left until I graduate :)

Played again today. It was interesting. It wasn't necessarily a waste of a session, its just that I was trying to do too much and got very side tracked. It was as though I was trying to look left and right at the same time.

So I guess my current goal is to hit the longish drill I did yesterday with a few more things. I guess I want it to go something like this:

ss butter > spinning clipper > whirl > drifter > ducking clipper > osis > pdx mirage > symp mirage > rpt

If I can work up to this sometime soon and do it well then that'd be great. That'd be good for simple guiltless. I guess I'd also like to start bettering my uptime stuff. The set isn't really the problem though, its the delay between each thing. I have to learn to make it all solid enough for transition. There are some good challenges in my challenge thread for me to work on for this. Now I just have to see if I can get myself disciplined enough to hit 20+ tiltless at least 3-5 times per session before moving towards anything above. I really have to try to make sure I don't try to do everything too fast for my ability.

I also have to rest a couple days. I must be doing something wrong with flip whirls all of a sudden. Knee is bothering me a bit. Not playing shouldn't be a problem considering I rarely have time to do it anyway lol

See ya

 better pdx whirls
 tomahawk
 almost whirl war. dropped the last pdx whirl
 spinning osis bsos. (not sure if i've ever tried it before)

I also had my sports awards dinner tonight and it turns out that I got MVP for both bowling and tennis. Snap.

Got to play today. Had a good warmup I guess. I then proceeded to stringing and had 3 very solid tiltless strings. While 2 of them did not breech 20 contacts I was extremely happy with their content. This was all in addition to all my other lamish strings.

I had semi breakthroughs with 2 things: atomsmashers (or maybe atomic in general) and pdx whirls.

The thing I was doing wrong was moving the setting foot for way too long instead of more of a quick set. I hit many atomsmashers bs but could never bsos it, but I did come very very close one or two times. I think I'll be able to do that soon.

With the pdx whirls I finally got my body to dex higher and a bit faster. The dex height really seemed to be key. Had several bs but no bsos. I think/hope I'll be able to get those down soon.

Also toyed around with doing the above moves all into boppy runs when going for the bsos. It was fun and seemed like it was coming a bit more naturally.

Also hit tripwalk bs fairly easy. I really only did them to make sure I could.

I really need to devote a session or a lot of a session to stepping. I take it for granted too much. At this point its something that i'll do once a session just to make sure I can still do it lol. I don't reinforce it enough.

I just need to focus on string length and variety I guess. Or at least trying to incorporate all that I'm capable of.

Last day of classes tomorrow 8)

Had my last band concert last night. It was totally way better than I thought it'd be. My solo thing went fine. I was getting a bit worried about it.

I'm exempt from my final exams so I kicked today. I warmed up by doing 20 minutes on wii fit lol. That thing can get intense.

Highlights:

- ss butter > osis > pdx mirage x 13 ish contacts
- PLO x 3 bs
- PLO > magellan > rpt
- schmoe > ss butter > ducking clipper > rpt (challenge completed)
- super close to atomsmasher bsos
- super close to pdx whirl bsos

Off to work

Went to the adidas outlet and got two new pairs of shred shorts and two shirts :D

Got to play today due to lack of work so I tried out a new one of each. I was quite pleased with my play today. On the other hand, I was not pleased with my clipper form. I feel as though it was lacking. Anyway

Highlights:

-Swirl bsos
-Symple legover > ss symple legover > rpt
-Toe set DLO bsos
-Osis > gyro mirage bsos
-Flail bsos but dropped the seal
-3 tiltless strings over 20 contacts (one being 27) and oodles of 10+ contact strings
-Finally atomsmasher bsos

Good times
