Unfortunately I never had a chance to get any filming of Vasek, or much of Worlds. I made the mistake of filming EVERY friggin Routine from Intermediate/Open/Doubles, so I missed out on a lot of shred. Also since I kicked when everyone else was, I tend to miss out on the heavy stuff....

i really liked the shred.

as you said, most players want underedited stuff.you asked for opinion, so here you go:

in most cases, even if you want to create something highly artificial/slick/... underediting is the way to go. the vignette, (that black circle) was horrible. vignettes can be really nice, but they have to be so subtle that you technically don't notice it, until someone tells you.

if you do bag following, ALWAYS do it in combination with slow-mo. everything else makes the viewer want to throw up, especially if you do it without a wide angle, but afar and zoomed in.

try to find solid backgrounds: the sky, the road, a wall. or some kind of framing. in particular when you lack good lighting.

I felt iffy about the black circle also, as it was suppose to be an eye watching you. I try to stay away from gimmicks like that, and all in all I think its a one time thing.

Hey Max, thanks a bunch of the advice, I never thought of trying to use the road/wall/sky etc for framing. I'll try to do more of it, but with shred circles I can't ask them to move for the sake of me. But its definitely something I don't know enough.

But once again thank you so much for some of the advice, and we'll see how some of my other stuff checks out. PEACE
