Cool site. After watching your vids again, I feel like our bodies have the same style [torso, head, arm, wrist, hand, hip motions] and execution.

Thanks Kev!

On Friday I had a session with Mike J. It was a fun, laid back session for the both of us. The weather was good, overcast with a little bit of a breeze.

Mike just got back from China, like a week ago. He was able to play some while he was there. He was doing good. His flip clipper was giving him some troubles, and I gave him some advice on some things that he might want to think about. He was still able to hit some good long runs, mainly tiltless but he can throw in the 3's he knows. I also helped him with drifters. He then proceeded to hit both sides, and one of the mid-string.

I was doing ok. I had a long warm-up, which was a little longer than my usual, but it consisted of all the same stuff. I did this to help loosen my ankle up, and to not rush into the session. All throughout the session I did lots of gyro clips. I think the most I did was either 9 or 10. Relatively good, but for some reason, whenever I do them I end up leaning forward. Why I do this, I just don't know. But when I get going I notice that I stand straight up when I do them. Other than that I had fun. Lot's of ducking and diving. Spin's galore. And whirls a plenty. I did hit Jani bs, it felt good hitting flip because on that side I normally have a set that's good for Sunil and not Jani. I did hit one new move, Blurry Reaper. I really don't remember a lot of what I hit, so that's why I'm not having a highlight's list like I normally do.

That's enough of me rambling. Laters...

Josh,

Great shred on Friday! It was good seeing you and thanks for the tips! It should help once I get a chance to work on it. To bad I have to work. One good thing is I still have a job. We will see in a few weeks. Cross your fingers.

Nice website! We will have get some of the unity information from the old site and put it on there. A quick correction. Johnny started the club first. I just joined once I got back to AZ. Did I send you the password info to get on there? Let me know.

ok.... got writeup for friday?

later...

Had a session today. First one since that Friday I kicked with Mike.

It was good. Maybe an hour long. Didn't work anything specific. Just had a regular ole' session.

Highlight's:
Toe Symp Whirl bsos
Flail bs, both of them were HUGE!!!
Toe Symp Whirl > Ps Whirl
Symp Whirl > Symp Bubba
Ripwalk > Symp Whirl bs
Fairy Ss Swirl, non-symple style
Tapping Drifter bs, flip feels really weird
Superfly a couple of times
Twirl > Merkon, one side, footed the other side
Muted Nuke Clip > Pdx Drifter footed

That's about it. It felt good to kick. I really need to start kicking more.

laters...

Funny that the only thing I can hit in your last post is what you made bold. My game is strange.
All of it is very cool though. Props!

That is funny Asmus. Which version have you hit, symple or non-symple? I've hit the symple version bs, but that was the first time trying the non-symple version.

This is from later on that night:
Toe Whirl > Swifter, footed bs
Swifter on strong, footed flip, yet again flip eludes me.

I've hit both. Also hit both with pixie.
Swifter is one of the sexiest tricks ever.

That's cool dude.

Had a "live" session this evening. Had a friend from class watch for a lil bit, but that's it. I did give short notice on when I was going to start so next time expect it a couple of hours in advance.

Highlight's;
Ocean bs
Motion on flip, forgot to hit it on strong
Duck Clip > Duck Clip > Dive Clip > Duck Clip > Dive Clip > Duck Clip
Merkon > Fairy Beater > run
Footed Fairy Ss Swirl > Gyro anything, I forgot what I was really trying for
Footed Gyro Swirl bs, and one mid-string
Toe Whirl > Far Swirl bs
Nuke Muted Clip > Pdx Drifter > Pdx Dlo, felt stylee as hell!
Stepping Whirl > Blurry Whirl > Stepping Whirl > drop, damnit!!! First try even!!
Flip Stepping Whirl > Stepping set, bag hit's chin! Did I ever mention that my flip stepping ROCKS out of whirl? Well, IT DOES!!!!
Blurry Whirl bs
Blur > Leg > Blizzard > Trip > Stepping Illusion > Slap drop, would've felt cool to finish it, ie: (continuing from drop) Slap > Step Mirage > Tapdown
Leg > Barrage, almost rpt, missed the last Barrage

That's it. All in all a good hour long session.

Had a session this evening. 30 min's long. Couldn't really get into a rhythm. So I decided to spend the session trying to hit a new trick. From last session I decided that I might have a chance at Stepping Ss Symp Torque, and then proceeded to foot it. Since I couldn't get into any sort of flow, I thought hell I could give this a shot. So I got the camera recording, and started trying it. Out of the 15 or so tries that I put in, I had atleast 3 that were off my heel. With this practicing, I now know how high I have to set it to have a decent chance at it. The footwork is easy, and so is the Symp Torque. I just have to fight with the set height a little bit. I will be hitting this trick soon!

Alright, it's been about 2 weeks since I last kicked. I guess that's why this week I've kicked twice already, hahaha!

I kicked on Monday for probably an hour. It was an ok session. Definitely could tell I haven't been taking proper care of the blades. Lot's of rust fell that day, but the game didn't get better. It just felt good to kick and do some stuff again. I don't really remember what I did. I got my camera out to try for some records though. Didn't happen.

Today was better than Monday, a little, ha! My legs weren't as slow as they were, and there wasn't as much rust on the blades. Again had the camera out to try for some records. Got one, check out Jeremy's thread about the records for it, it's the last post in there.

Highlight's:
20 Stepping Ss Clips, new personal best, I can probably do more!
Footed Torque > Mobius on one side
Spin Clip > Duck Clip rpt
Dive Clip > Gyro Clip rpt
Gyro Whirl bsos
Had an ok look at Sonic Osis, I might fiddle with this concept some more
Tried to work on DSC, wasn't feeling it

I like that I'm able to use my Spins/Gyros more consistently now, but with working this I think I've lost a lot of my toe game that I worked on. I can still Atomic and Fairy like there's no tomorrow, but my Quantums and Pixies have really taken a beating. I can still throw them down but it just feels like they aren't as reliable as they were before I rolled my ankle back in February, or whenever I did that. Actually, I feel like my whole game is like that right now. It's probably due to me not kicking as much I was and the accident. I still need to get my ankle checked out, but also I just need to get off my ass and start kicking more. I've gotten really lazy lately and I'm normally not this lazy. Maybe this week will kick me off for the summer.

Expect more highlight's and vid's coming from me soon. I'm not going to be lazy all summer!

Since my last post I've kicked twice, Friday and again yesterday. On Friday I had a decent session, don't remember very much except hitting a new trick on both sides: Pogo Ss Clipper. That's all I can remember from it.

Yesterday was a good session. I couldn't really string all that well, but I was able to do some records. Especially one that Ken S. annoyed me with

Highlight's;
Symp Whirl bs
My best Jani yet!
Toe Blur > Toe Set Symple Swirl bs
Whirling Swirl bs
Symple Swirl x4
Symple Rev Swirl x4
Torque x3, so much worse than what I use to be able to :(
Duck Clip > Spin Clip rpt
Dive Clip > Gyro Clip rpt
Duck Clip > Gyro Clip > Dive Clip bsos

That's all I can remember. I got some new insoles that I put in. They're way better than my old ones, even when they were new.

Thanks guys!

On Friday had a session with the Unity crew. It wasn't the full crew, just Conrad, Blake and myself. We were suppose to have a new guy show up, but he never did. Ohh well, his lost. We did have a spectator for the full 2 hour session, Conrad's girlfriend was there. She wanted to see what footbag was all about and see it in action. Conrad and Blake didn't give her anything to look at, HAHAHA!!!!!!!!

It was a fun session! Lots of jokes, and interesting things that we could sell on QVC.

Conrad and Blake both haven't played in over a month. I really think the last time they kicked was when Ken S. was in town back in March. We all had fun and hit some good things.

I really don't remember a lot of what I hit but here's some stuff that I do!

Highlight's:
Ps Whirl and Whirligig in a run
DLO > Toe Symp Torque
Dyno > Pdx Egg, just about bsos
Barfly x8 or 9 or 10 or something, I was on a roll

Towards the end of the session we were running out of light, but apparently that couldn't stop me. I had my best run of the night! It was probably in between 25-30 contacts! It was great! Conrad told me to try Goliath, so I did. Pixie set > Hand toss > Ducking DLO off my foot! So he had to try it. Then I tried Fairy Ducking DLO and had it off my foot! It was a good way to end the session!

I kicked last Tuesday, but I didn't blog about it. Don't remember what I hit anyway.

Kicked last night. It was a decent session, I could definitely tell that I haven't kicked in awhile. I did have a couple of decent runs, hit a couple of new things. But towards the end, I was very close to hitting the wall. I might kick tonight, seeing that I won't be able to on Friday.

Highlight's;

The two Paradon Swirls could be a little deeper, but they were the first times hitting it. So give it time. The Toe set Nova could've been done a little better, but I think mine was pretty damn good!

Onto non-footbag news. Last Thursday, my mouth started hurting out of nowhere. So I went and saw the dentist yesterday. I have a tooth in the back where I don't have enough my room for it. The bone back there comes up right to the chewing surface of the tooth. I have 2 options that I can, either I can have the tooth pulled (Which I'm doing) or I can have a whole bunch of work done back there. So I went back to the dentist today and setup an appointment for Friday to get it removed. I probably won't do much that day.

So yeah, I will have a session tonight. Maybe see if I can hit Paradon Swirl deeper, and maybe a better Toe set Nova. Or I'll just kick and have fun. Who know's.

Had a session this evening. Like I said I was going to. It felt good. I didn't really work on anything in particular.

Highlight's;
Pdx DLO > Toe Blender bs
Footed DLO > Fairy DLO (Flog?)
Zooming Clip bsos with 9 Gyro Clips in the same run
Pdx Whirl > Ss Symp Mirage bs

Here's the best run of the night:

Wassup footbag world! It's been awhile since I've posted in here. I've been kicking on and off for awhile. The Friday after my last post I had a tooth removed that was causing some pain. I didn't kick till the 4th of July and even then I only kicked for 20 mins. It's really hard to kick when you don't have water!

I kicked once since then and that was last Monday. I kicked outside with a fan and mister going. Kept me nice and cool! I never really got into a groove. I need to start kicking twice a week again for I can get my stamina back. My Q3's are slowly fading, I'm thinking about either pre-ordering a pair of nucleus', getting a pair of leather goonits or a pair of mesh lavers. Don't know which yet, but my Q3's still have life in them, for now.

Last night I had a footbag dream. I just got a brand new pair of mesh lavers, just got done modding them. I slipped in my pair of insoles, slipped my feet into them, tightened the laces and walked outside for a session. I turned on the fan and mister, got the camera rolling and started warming up. 50 kicks here, tons of toe stalls there, a bunch of clippers everywhere and I'm warmed up enough to start kicking.

I don't really remember much till later on in the dream. The awesome thing about this dream is that it's all in the first person!

After awhile I realize that I'm kicking better than I ever have and I start a run with Blurry Whirl b2b > Blurriest b2b > Ripped > Pdx Torque. Throughout that run I'm throwing different 5's and 6's everywhere. And out of nowhere I watch my legs as the turn into blurs of movement as I hit nemesis in the middle of this still going long string. The run ends shortly after nemesis, I walk over to the camera and turn it off. I also turn off the fan and mister, grab a towel and dry off. I bring the camera inside and place it next to my laptop for I can transfer the footage over and make a video.

And that's all.

I might kick today, it all depends on if my girl comes over. If she doesn't I'll kick, is she does then I'll be to tired to kick.

Until next time........keep kicking!

Had a session tonight, so you all know what that means. My girl didn't make it

The session was good. It was probably close to an hour, maybe 45 min to an hour long. I worked on some rev whirls and easy runs to get back into shape.

Highlight's:
Ripstein bs
Toe Symp Whirl bs
Far Symple Rev Swirl bsos (I believe) if not then bs. I think flip is new?
Rev Whirly Gig bsos, flip is definitely new!
Pdx Whirl > Far Symple Swirl > Drifter, footed bs, would be a fun rpt
Fudge > Smudge, first time for that combo
Whirr bs, for some odd reason they've come back! Just like my Ripsteins!
Blazing Butter, had one look at flip
Had one look at Whirlwalk

That's all that I remember. It was a fun session!
