New to footbag looking for a footbag.

I just got interested in it when my friend started showing me videos on youtube. I use a juggaling bag that I just took some of the beads out of. Looking to buy a good begginer footbag. I was thinking a Duncan footbag or a Mr.Sandbag. Suggestions?

when you've gotten good with the Mr Sandman (or sandbag or whatever - The freedomfootbags.com model), it will be time to upgrade to a hand-stitched bag. In fact, if you've got an extra $30 or so kicking around (no pun intended), they are often quite good for beginners, as long as your stitcher knows that you are a beginner, and they don't make you a bag that is too rolly.

Check out the bags and equipment subforum for information on the active stitchers in the community right now. Waylon and Brian make awesome bags.

The "bags I've made" thread is often a good indicator of who is most active right now.

i just spend $26 dollars on a dragon fly phobea footbag, (sand filled)

im a newbie who gave up and then came baack, i can do the basics, toe stall, inside stall (reasonable well) neck stall, pincher, etc

was it a bad move getting this bag???

it not come yet, but will i have a hard time using it???????????

It's not a terrible move on your part, but there are better choices. You can get a hand-stitched footbag for just a few more dollars than that from a stitcher on this site, and it will probably play a tonne better than a dragonfly bag. my experience with dragonfly bags has been that they're not that great.

been playin with my bag for a while now and i love it, i stalls pretty easy, now i have broken it in, though everyone is saying go for metal so i think in a few weeks im going to get a custom one from MC or get a holly bag that is as soon as i have paid for my driving.

also depending on wether they accept my pattern i want for my bag.

i have a vision for a perfect bag gentlman, im hoping it can be made!!! lol

Matt dont you get tired of saying the same thing to every beginner that comes on this forum? haha. Its good for the community, so keep it up!
