I'm in the same boat as erik, although money isnt the issue, its more waiting to see if i can get the time off of work as some colleagues are being indecisive

so any advice on late notice accommodation would be appreciated

With the hostel, generally there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. So if you make a booking now, and you can't make it, you can just cancel the booking. Also, the hostel xberger does not take your credit card details when you make the booking

also, for everyone still being unsure, the gym will probably never book up, so there will always be a place to sleep in case nothing else is found.

even though matthias is right, that the gym will always offer you a very basic accomodation option, we should point out that there are only few beds left at the host hotels... at the fabrik and the xberger, there are only 10-20 beds left each. whcih means that they could fill up quickly. the earlier we know somethnig is booked out, the better. this way we can try to organzie even more accomodation if necessary.

Sucks that allot of the top North American players can't make it, but I'm grateful to the ones who can, I bet it's not trivial for some of them.

I hope that this is not a question I could have answered easily on my own, but I plan on staying at the gym and I was wondering if there were going to be any showers available there. I do not care if the shower is a hose connected to the wall outside, but I will surely play so much and I do not want to hurt any persons olfactory senses.

Thank you so much for getting the gym space so we can save money on hotel cost! I always hated spending so much of my travel money on sleeping! Now I can sample some of this amazing German beer I have heard so much about! It is going to be much less expensive then Orlando Worlds in the overall picture.

I am already impressed with competition organizing from when I went to Euros in 2005, but this looks like it is going to be an improvement from what was already an outstanding job. Good job guys. Come over to the US and do that over here already, ha haa haa. You too Antek. I am so excited.

I have not registered yet, but I have my plane ticket! Put me down to volunteer to help out with something. I hope I can stitch while I sit at the table though.

Hi Aaron,
there will be more than enuff showers at the evnt site as well as at the sleeping gym. so dont worry about this.
and thanks for saying it again. for 130 euros you can get a whole week of parties, food, sleeping and competition. I dont think anyone paid less at any of last years worlds...
looking forward to seeing lots of people from overseas!!!
