US Open

Post by Kenar »

Hey Red, I'll be there. As I read it, I only need to sign up as an Intermediate competitor to get the player pack and shirt, right? The sideline packs are for the players who aren't competing,
I will be bringing my wife, also. Is there a way I can pay a fee for her to be at the post event on Saturday?

Thanks for putting this event together. I look forward to meeting you.

Hi,
Thanks Ken, look forward to meeting you in person as well. Anyone can attend the Saturday and Sunday evening ceremonies, so your wife is good to go. But, there is a catered on site dinner (sandwiches and such sponsored by Panera), that will only be available to people who have paid the competitor shredder fees. There are a good deal of restaurants literally surrounding the site, something like a two minute walk if that. It will be fun for sure, the site location allows for easy access to all your needs (hotel, food, entertainment) around the area, it is quite located.

Wow this sounds like its going to be an even better event than last year. Which I didn't think it was possible.

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this year. I hope that everyone has a great time, which I'm sure they will.

Hey all,

As some you already know I'll be driving cross-country to make the Open this year. I plan on leaving PA by July 4, Denver by the 6th, I think I may visit a friend in Jackson, WY the next day. I want to make it to Portland no later than Friday the 10th, but I'd probably prefer a day earlier. I guess my question is, could I stop in Boise in between Wyoming and Oregon?

I'm looking forward to making the U.S Open again, and making Portland my new home. See you soon, if all goes to plan.

I will have a small stockpile of footbags for sale. Just wanted to let anyone know if you were worried about finding footbag. Also, we have to be extra secretive when talking to the coach this year, just wanted to alert everyone.

Hey all,
Nick brought up a good point. For those who like to have safety meetings, people have to be sure it is off site property. Smoking anything in general is off limits at the sport facility, as it is a health/fitness company pretty much. Our main goal this year is to build a strong relationship with the sponsoring/host company, thus we have to be respectful on their turf. Luckily, there is a lot around there, including the host hotel across the street. Please let me know if anyone has any questions, this year we are looking to up the standards of professionalism and accessibility regarding footbag events with the US Open. It will be heavily sponsored and promoted, and will be the launch pad for quite a few exciting things. Check it out!

Hey hey - Alex and I are showing up on Saturday. We procrastinated long enough that the Mariott is fully booked now. Guess we'll make reservations at the Phoenix which is about a mile away, unless someone can suggest a better place. On that note, any chance any of you made reservations that you can't keep? We'd be more than happy to swoop in and snatch that up!! Let us know.

See ya there!
