Milan didn't actually win it yet. That was just the first round. Final is tomorrow.

Just finished watching the live stream, which was amazing despite the expected lag. I cant get over how good it was, you all missed out if you didnt watch some.

Vasek regained his World title in Routines, with Damien Gielnicki and Honza Weber following. Im gonna go ahead and suggest the rest was something like Milan, Juho, Anssi, Phil and Bartek but thats just speculation based on scores i remember.

Tina Aeberli is the Womens Routine champion once again, with Lise Thygesen and Karolina (i wont try the last name) following.

Was it Karolina Modrzejewska? I only saw the end of her routine but it looked great.

Too bad about all of the stream-issues, but I am still glad I got to see it at all!

Can't wait to see the routines in full technicolor. Stoked.

The stream was awesome, despite the fact that it cut out frequently and I missed a lot. Just seeing bits and pieces was amazing.

Huge props to the organizers, from what I have seen/heard so far they have done an amazing job. Really regret not going this year.

Yeah finals were awesome! The Berlin Crew did an amazing job, you can´t thank them enough! The afterparty is still going on right now - there was also some awesome nightshred going on there with Serge, Honza, Norek, Phil, Marcin, Anssi, Ken (who had a good long sleep that day ;D - look forward to his worlds review) and more people going off. Some cameras where there so there should be some footage.

Routine Results:

1. Vasek
2. Damian
3. Honza
(4. Milan Benda)
(5. Juho Marjo)
(6. Anssi)
7. Phil
8. Bartek Bubula

With places 4-6 I am not 100% sure unfortunately.

New BAP Members although the induction ceremony didnt happen tonight - but quite confirmed:

Anssi "Accelerator" Sundberg
Milan "Machinegun" Benda

Honorable mentions for Marcin Bujko and Olaf Piwowar. ( I dont know if this is officially but they were in consideration for sure).

If you are interested in net ( I don´t know if it was streaming already)

Manu won singles but lost with P.T. against Flo and Patti.

--------

Okay thats it with my coverage (except some guy hits a 5-dex on sunday or something like that ;) ), I hope you forgive me if some infos were not 100% correct but I always tried to let you know everything ASAP ;)

Worlds 2009 rocked!! Thank you again Berlin Crew!

Cale, Sunday hasn't happened yet. That was speculation ;)

also, I'm sitting here with Anssi and he tells me that his induction is not official or certain (although i don't see how he or milan could get passed over, but my opinion doesn't count).

Thanks everyone for keeping the info and stories coming, loving it!

Couple of Q's: was there an official awards ceremony after Finals, because the quick name-call and applause for the top Routine places seemed way underdone compared to the amazing level the comp seemed to run at. I assume something happened at Glashaus?

Also were there any results for the Video comp, just out of interest? Im assuming Jere won :D

Serge Kaldany in slow motion, from circles:
http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/16995

I was hoping to make more of those, but most of the events were indoor and the slow motion mode on my camera sucks indoor.

This thread is amazing, thanks so much for everyone contributing to it.

Also, MASSIVE PROPS to the Berlin crew for throwing an event as awesome as I knew they could.

I seriously almost started crying when I read that TtuuuUukaa was going around telling people I miss them. I really do miss everyone, god damn missing this killed me.

This year has been both a blessing and full of crushing challenges and hurt, like having to miss the biggest best event of one of my biggest passions in my favourite city in the world thrown by the best footbag crew in the whole world who are also my very good friends that I super miss!

FUCK!

haha

I'm glad everyone had so much fun! I'm glad the even went so well!

I'm gonna go watch all the world's videos and cry softly to myself.

I am sitting here reflecting and reading all the post by everyone and thought I would add:
1_ worlds is a tuff! tuff! thing too run and berlin was really great this year.
2_ Nothing is perfect and finals night had some weird things happen that I thought could have easily been changed for the better. The IFPA people will hopefully correct this stuff through contracts and questions before giving out the next city location for worlds
3- Dan ednie is a ball of educational energy and I look forward too working with him in the future!!!!
4- Each year the level of difficulty seems to increase and the difference between many players is seamingly smaller and smaller. This year the net was spread out like no other recent worlds manu, flo/patt, jf/maud, maud, maud/gionbieve(my spelling sucks) ooppss!!!! not really how about that maud!!!! she is everywhere!!!! any way. I was really impressed with vasek, not all players can come back and win after loosing for the first time. As I told him it is a true champion who re-dedicates him/her self too there sport after loosing a championship. Tina was awesome and I do not remember this other girls name right now but I was really impressed that she went dropless in the first round.
5- To all the directors and staff members thanks for making my worlds 2009 a worlds i will never forget, I achieved some personal bests. Also thanks too all the intermediate judges for doing a great job setting aside the audiances feverish reaction too my routine and remembering too hold me and the other players to the standards of all the catagories of freestyle routines not just drops and audiance responce, I judged myself prior too the results right were i finished. GOOD JOB!!!!!
6- Too those that missed it I hope you all had a REAL good reason why you could not come, you missed a real good show by all
I am sad that it is already over see ya ted f

Okay last post really - no 5dex unfortunately ;)

1st: Milans BAP Name is "Megatron"

2nd: Kryztof Maler didnt won intermediate!! He is an upcoming skilled open player by now, sorry for the bad mistake - intermediate was won by another young check Jan Drugda (this last name is written so wrong).

3rd: Jere won Video Contest, the Video from Slupsk with Norek,Kamil and Karolina was also 2nd or 3rd, I dont know the other top3 placed entrant unfortunately.

4th: The Award Ceremony was happening later in the glashaus! It was quite late as I remember and in the middle of the party.

5th: If you dont know it yet - In his 5month stay in the Czech Republic Dan Ednie made an advanced freestyle manual with Vasek about mental game, trick tips and personal notes. Dan finished the manual at worlds and you can czech it out at footbag.cz
