UPDATE:
So our main destination is Washougal, Washington. Upon Google-mapping, I have found that Washougal is 30 minutes from Portland, so... if my girlfriend and I could have a corner of floor for a night or a couple nights, we'd totally be down for some shred (well... I would be down for shred, singular). What say youse, Portland? (Also, do you know of a cheap means by which to travel up to Vancouver from Portland? Bus? Anyone?)

At this point we're prolly gonna fly to Vancouver around the 11th or 12th, stay with Kevin Regamey, and then bus down to Washougal or whatever for a couple days, then Portland if I get a reply from them and then...

You could meet us there, Cale? I guess, like, Portland, Cali, Vegas, Arizona, and then maybe some other spots in that area before we head back up to Vancouver (maybe Seattle on the way?)

We will be in Washougal until the 16th of August, and then Portland after that. And we have to go back to Toronto for the 29th-ish (ideally from departing from Vancouver) So anything in that span, with some buffer room on the end for quality Vancouver time. I guess more like a week then.. haha, that isn't much. We're flexible though. Depending, we may not have to go back that early, just ideally (she's been asked to present her film at another festival at that time) -- but we were also really stoked about traveling!

haha well...

i am registering for college august 13-14th... after that i have all open until august 21st-23rd, when i am going to portland anyways =] so possibly... i could leave for washougal on the 15th, and we could tour around wherever until i have to be in portland. during that time ill be with my dad and sister, so wed split ways for the weekend, but after that we could leave again until whenever you wanted to be back to vancouver. i would come back home on the 30th of august anyways for my birthday =]

so, theoretically, this could happen =] but i need to seriously sweet talk my mom to make it work. do those dates sound good?

so, in order for me to convince my parents to let this happen, i would need a solid agenda/itinerary, and a list of the exact places/dates we would be staying at.

do you have specific places in mind where we would go between washauga and portland, with houses to stay at? thats what i would need to know before i can get an answer.

so get back to me, and well see how it goes, we have till the 14th to get things straightened out, so take your time.

Hmm. I was thinking, and it kinda just seems too rushed, and my monetary resources are very quickly depleting (I'm paying for the entire trip for 2 people). Maybe I will still do my road trip next summer and just not rely on anyone else so it won't fall through

I will probably still go to Portland, though, so maybe I will see you there Cale! Thanks for offering, it could have been splendtastic!

I'm flying to Vancouver on the 11th and staying with Kevin, then bussing down to Washougal, and then maybe Portland until around the 16th (for Washougal at least). And then back up to Vancouver to stay with my brother and visit some other friends, and then flying to Toronto on the 26th and staying there for a couple weeks before back home to work-ish.. And I'll be back in Vancouver around Christmas for my brother's wedding and visiting my best friend who is moving there.
