I know a guy, let's call him Ed. True story, by the way. He moved to Ithaca, NY for a while... kind of one of the hipper towns in NY. He had no job, and he's a strange guy who has a different sense of social spacial boundaries than most people, and he gets by, by selling jewelry that he wears around a huge neck / chest harness, at public events and parks etc.

He often talked of going to Hawaii.

One day, the people of Ithaca put together a fund to buy him a one-way ticket to Hawaii, which he could only accept under the condition that he would never come back to Ithaca.

He did indeed accept, but somehow made it back, and now lives in Buffalo.

That post just made me think of that story.

edit: hey, that gives me an idea...

Hey kyle!

I'll stitch you 5 custom footbags if you promise to accept a permanent ban from modified!

Think about it. Let's negotiate.

colors, weights, size. Whatever you want, as long as it's not some crazy challenge with strange spike variants and such. standard 32s, no spikes.

well, one with spikes if you really want.

I have facile and microsuede.

I'm not, I'm still totally down for this. Please send the following message to colin.

"Dear Colin,

Please ban my IP from modified, permanently. I know that the admin of this site has allowed users to accept self-imposed banning in the past, so I hope you will follow suit. Please ban me.

Sincerely,

Kyle"

I'm getting new facile colors this week, and after I make #300 for holly and #301 for Waylon, #s 302 - 306 will be for you. I am completely serious.

Right decision.

I can't believe Matt Cross would be prepared to essentially give you $150 or so just to leave the forum. We can probably read a lot in to that.

you can read a lot of whatever you want, into whatever you want. care to expand a little bit on what you've read into me bribing Kyle to leave?

I wasn't doing it to make a point. I can't imagine what you are reading into it. It was a straightforward act - I'd be happier if he didn't post on this web site any longer, and I was taking another step to see if I could rid myself (and the rest of those who be happier without him) of what I see as a nuisance.

By the way, jeremy, that 5-bag-offer to never post on modified again stands for you as well. Think about it. I'd even give you 6.

I read into that you are childish, petty and have a very small perspective in life.

edit: I've tried all the other tactics, aside from ignoring him, but I don't think that works, because I don't want to ignore everyone, and it's guaranteed that SOMEONE is going to respond to him, and all the usual, predictable subsequent events will occur, whether I'm ignoring Kyle or not.

anyway, I'm done arguing about this issue for now. My offer of 5 bags to Kyle still stands. I'm upping my offer to 10 bags for you, Jeremy.
