wow, cool timing, just jumped in here to see if any new worlds vids were up, and here's a post from drew!
yo.. seriously, i need help hanging drywall.. just the ceiling portion, the rest I can do by myself. you game? when might you be able to do that? I wouldn't be ready to start until after this weekend.
in terms of kicking... i think... ahh shit, too many variables, call me tonight?

got to play some footbag last night which was actually a surprise because I thought I was going to have to go pickup 30 sheets of drywall (that's a lot of sheets) with a neighbor that has a truck large enough to hold all that. But he wanted to do it next week instead, so I got to do my footbag/basketball/workout routine.
That routine of exercise kicks your ass by the way. I'll be back down to goal weight by Funtastik I predict.
hmmm highlights... just sort of better at all of it. being thin again will help a lot.
oh, i did hit 4 b2b ripwalks starting on weakside > couple bops > 4 b2b ripwalks starting from the opposite side > run (edit: I think this is worthy b/c b2b ripwalk is much easier than 3 in a row... and anything over 3 in a row is way harder too.. so 4 is sort of my breakthrough number)
undecided whether to play or get ready for electrical project tonight. probably play. I'm ahead of schedule

I'll try to call you later today (it's friday) or tonight. I'm doing electrical install all day on Saturday, probably finishing up on Sunday, so I think I'm shot this weekend. But next weekend I should have a day. And after that, drywall will be finished so I'll be taking the rest of the summer off from major projects and just shredding.
---
I'm so fat right now it's ridiculous. Ok, it's only 10 or 11 pounds. But I hate it. I'm so much slower, I look like shit, my legs are so thick. But, my workouts are kick ass, I'll be skinny soon. I can do my entire workout in about 1.5 hours. About 40 minutes of footbag, 25 basketball, 25 lifting. Did that last night again.
Big day of electrical install tomorrow. I'll have the wife take pics.
Pickup drywall next week, install it after work and next weekend. Then rest and play and hang out.

footbag last night.. hit
-pixie butter > ducking butter > ducking butter.. did that starting on both sides a lot of times. ducking butter b2b is new to me as of like 5 days ago. actually, ducking butter by itself is really pretty new to me overall.
- pdx mirage > atomic mirage > bops > other pdx mirage > weak atomic butterfly
- more bsos dynos although it still takes many reps to get the weakside awake
- more DC swirl drills. Have hit a couple regular style weakside swirls now but it's very awkward. Strongside is coming along faster, but not fast.
- pdx mirage > paradon drill.. getting through a few cycles each time I try it, so that's added consistency.
- weakside diving is fucking stupid.

I'm on the fence regarding Funtastik now. I'm going to try to play footbag on my normal schedule this week (and work out too) but I just finished the most ridiculous weekend of physical labor (electrical install in the barn) and have big time work to do to "finish" up for the year (insulation, drywall, paint). And it's all very difficult and time consuming to do all of this by yourself. Whatever. So, if I'm in good shape, and have played enough between now and then, I'll go to Funtastik. If I'm sore and beat up and feeling fat, I'm going to skip it.
but, like I said, I'm going to try to get in shape, and build the fucking barn too. Oh, and make a living in our single income family, and be a good father/husband, and have a couple seconds here and there to just relax. Sorry, just had to bitch and whine a little. I'm really really really tired.
edit:
we trenched from house to barn so that electrical will run under ground now instead of on an arial cable. Here's the final product, in a few weeks grass will re-grow and you'll never know it was there. Had to run 2 inch thick conduit through the entire trench, and then bend into the building (that grey pipe). Also, ran coax cable (for TV) and got that installed inside and tested this weekend (watched/listened to baseball while working out there last night). Oh, and the outhouse is gone. A shed will be built there by me later on.

edit 2: I also have been talking with the owner of a barn company. They're out of Vermont but do work all around, including PA (where I live). He's checked out pictures of my work, and heard my passion for it etc. Anyhow, he wants me to be on his crew next time they're building in PA. To see if I really love it, to learn, for him to evaluate me. Who knows? I can't sit behind this desk for 30 more years, not when I have these other talents that I really enjoy.

I was really depressed at the thought of letting my footbag progress slide off AGAIN and having to potentially miss Funtastik (haven't been to an event in like 4-5 years?!?!?!?!) etc. So I said eff that and pushed out my time schedule on the barn. Electrician will be back for final hookups in like 3 weeks, so that gives me a shit ton of time to do what I need to do before then.
Therefore, played some hacky last night. Was a little challenging because I only have temporary power hookup to a few lights in the building. So I played in the garage bay area instead of the exercise room area (no lights at all in there since ceiling is about to be drywalled and they would be in the way). It actually worked out just fine. In fact, if I ever have a little mini, friends only, jam at my place, I think we could shred the garage bay AND the exercise room and it would be a good amount of space. Maybe 2 circles of 3 players comfortably. Could probably push for circles of 4.
Anyhow, did lots of ducking/diving practice. Was really working ducking legover > ducking butter. I like toe set ducking. Actually, I spent pretty much the entire practice on ducking and diving.
then did a bunch of paradon drills. ended with drifter drills. Then played hoops and lifted (TV is hooked up in the barn now, so I watched ESPN while lifting!)

well, my decision above to shred didn't consider the fact that my exercise room doesn't have power yet (i.e. no lights) and that the garage bay (where there is a temporary light hookup) is now completely filled with 30+ sheets of sheetrock and plywood. So basically, I can't play until the work is finished. Therefore, I pushed like crazy last night and got some plywood walls up (really fun to see that happen). Shopping for "last" supplies tonight. Insulate/seal/drywall tomorrow night, and all day on saturday, possibly all day on sunday too.
So hopefully, I can stop working as of Monday. And I mean STOP working. I'm so damn tired it's ridiculous. I'm proud of what I've accomplished (and will accomplish still) but enough is enough already.

kicked for about 10 minutes today before the rain came down. Got this for you, as per yer request. Sloppy still, especially after a week off.

drew! YES, let's play. Lots. I have 3.5 weeks to get in shape, get good at footbag again, in time for Funtastik. Plus, I just need to play lots to wash away months of barning. I have this weekend ready to play, let's do it
wyrmfrye, thanks for stopping in, yes barn warming party is definitely happening, although footbag won't be part of that.. beer pong will be though
---
started kicking the rust off last night. I only have temporary electric out in the barn right now, so I had to play in the garage bay where i have a light hooked up. Lots of drywall dust all over the place, and no AC yet. So it was hot and sweaty and dusty. And that was all A-OK because I was playing again! YAY. Nothing great, just whatever. Playing was the point.
After, lifted.
Then built loft for megan to put kids stuff

Ken, I think I'll decline my membership to BOPS. Wait, what are we talking about again?
Drew, saturday or sunday are both fine.. 2 p.m. ish.. just text me or fb or email or whatever

short session last night.. it's gonna take a few days to get back to strength etc. Basically the session sucked ass really bad and I was frustrated and grumpy.

shredded with drew yesterday. first time being able to use the shred room since drywall went up (because it was a daytime session so the lack of overhead lighting in the room wasn't an issue.. been playing my night time sessions in the garage bay where I have a temporary light hooked up). it was really fun 2 hour session. Drew wasn't impressed with my game, but I think I'm actually more skilled now than ever. Just need to drop some pounds so it all pulls together. My both sidedness is way better than before.
drews getting good fast. He continues to take instruction well. Hope to play with him once per week until funtastiks
kicked his ass in basketball after, we both almost sprained our ankles too
ha ha
session today and tomorrow and the next day and the day after that... also, 30 day extreme health kick starting tomorrow to jump start my return to skinny

absolutely, we can encourage each other!
my kickstart plan is basically
- eat like I always do, but eliminate late night snack (this amounts to oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, sandwich and yogurt for lunch, whatever the wife makes for dinner... the evening snack was a handful of mixed unsalted nuts or a granola bar.. but that will be eliminated during kickstart period)
- stop working on the stupid barn pretty much entirely and just play tons of footbag and bastetball. Goal is to play footbag 5 times per week or more. The other day I actually played twice in the same day which hasn't happened since I was in my early twenties.
- do my lifting routine 4 times per week (this pretty much fell off completely while barn building.. but before that, this was a staple for a long time)
- no beer at all until Funtastiks (and after that, weekends only like I used to do)
After the kickstart, the whole plan stays the same except that beer is allowed on weekends again. I imagine I'll be between 195 and 200 by Funtastiks (currently, 212) which is very thin for my body type (I'm a solid guy.. no twiggy legs here)
