UK Jam
Ok uk footbaggers. me, matt bailey and ian cozens have been trying to set dates for a shred session down in mablethorpe where ian lives. Its taken a while (mainly by fault of my own!) but its looking like being on sunday 23rd august and possibly extending over to the 24th august, so if u might be able to attend then post in here
Assuming the weather is ok (not something u can count on in this grim country!) then it should be a good chance to promote the sport in this country! Me and matt were talking yesterday about possibly trying to organise something else in september so if anyone is interested in that then they should let us know!

Woooooooooooooo!
Definitely up sor something in september, anyone got suggestions for a location?
As for Mablethorpe, heres a few links and maps that interested attendees may find useful.

Mablethorpe is your typical, quiet british seaside town, with a promenade that extends all the way to its neighbour, Sutton on Sea. The beach, the sea, ice creams, dinky donuts, arcades, a fairground, and yes, I know where to buy a doner kebab or two should the need arise
Theres plenty of B&Bs around for those looking to make a real trip out of this, and then of course, theres my exceptional skills when it comes to making good use of a barbecue
Travel by road I cant help with, but there are regular trains running in and out of Skegness.
The venue has all the makings of a great few days of shred and its a great opportunity to demonstrate this amazing sport, so get your names down!

Hey UK baggers
Looks like ill be leaving my job on the 12th of september, to give myself some time to chill out and prepare for rocking onto university in the first week of october
so this will obviously be a good time for me to do something
can we maybe have a show of hands who would be free/willing to have a jam between 12th september and 1st october?

Ah yes, location was going to be my next point
It looks like we're all in a kind of line, from mablethorpe to leicester to essex to sussex. i guess either we could all meet somewhere in the middle or someone designate themselves to host
Also I believe we can confirm that me, Nick and Ian will be shredding up Mablethorpe on Sunday the 23rd and possibly the afternoon of the 22nd, if there is a possibility of more

Heh I visited London 10 years ago, and other than the fact that I randomly ran into a friend there and went on a binge drinking rampage and almost missed my flight, I wasn't positively impressed by it. I realize that the UK and London are not synonymous and I could probably experience heaps of interesting things there, but still, something in the back of my mind goes "Remember London!!!".

I would be happy to host, however...
i could offer no floor space as i still live at home
theres nowhere great to shred in public and to do it at my house wouldnt be very interesting
the village where i live isnt very accessible
the closest city to me is pretty boring
Anyone else have any ideas? If not and people are happy to travel to mablethorpe, maybe that should be the spot for now?
Ske that'd be sweet if you could make it, be cool to shred properly as i feel e missed out on that at worlds!
And Roy that'd be awesome if you could make it! I guess it would depend on where we play as to how practical and culturally interesting it'd be for you. There are plenty of nice places to see besides london!

ofcourse not, lol, but the tent not made of tissue paper so you not gonna get wet when in it, and one would assume we wouldnt neserccarly be shredding at the campm site, and if it gonna rain it dont matter where you go, if your outside YOUR GONNA GET WET!WyrmFyre wrote:
I had that idea too! But its the weather, do you trust the british summer enough?
that the great thing about camping though because you can go to any campsite, say chertsey campsite in london, the jump on the tube, take a trip to harrods, and shred inside till we get kicked out so therefore avoiding the rain.(which in harrods will be like 5 sec)
but with camping i think you leave the options alot more open!
