chrismshelton: I'm not exactly which brown it is. I bought the 18 variety, so I'm not sure what the color names are exactly. But it looks closest to summer brown.

Summer brown is pale and thick. I think that's Henna (it's hard to describe, because Field's released three brown-like colors - Cedar Berry, Henna, Garnet - that all looked almost EXACTLY the same).

My jaw dropped when I saw that starry Wyrmbag. Now I want to try the four hole method (I'm really awful when it comes to it, but it's worth a try!).

My starry bag seems to be well recieved even if it was a complete accident

I didnt do anything different, or at least as far as im aware I didnt. I think if anything its because i over-gathered, perhaps too much. It was a terrible rush job though, and unfortunately that bag is already no longer with us in a useable sense but the majority of the pents did still retain that star shape.

Am in the middle of another one right now, next bag will be an attempt at all stars

Edit : it is a hybrid, Alcantara and some cheapo faux suede, not sure if that makes any difference.

Bag number 3 from me!

Lower gather than my other bags, with a shallow a bite as i dared, meaning this bag has come out nice and soft. Didnt modify my templates to allow for the shallow bite though meaning this has come out bigger than golfball sized, so itll be my display / stalls training bag.

I havent got much choice as far as fillers go, this ones got steel BBs and sand as its all i can get right now. Once ive got a stock of decent filler though Ill be hopefully looking to negotiate a trade or two

edit : it hasnt been puffed up for the camera, just dropped it from about 12" and just photo'd

Yeah, I was quite happy with it. I tried a different template and used little gather. And, as you can see, it came out quite small.

so after my marathon stiching for worlds i was a bit tired of stabing together bags, but here are the bags i made since.

the brownish one was actually started at worlds.

and its up for grabs. the blue/fucsia one is a keeper. black spike one goes to a friend as a thank you.

I don't recommend trying to do a solid bag when you are first starting stitching, here is my third bag, and it was a tuffy

but i am happy with the results.

Its super small with some new templates

i have to make some more a slight bit bigger.

lookin good zach, that based on the template i emailed? i like my bags on the smallish side, but now that you have a point of reference, you can experiment with enlarging the pattern.

maybe try printing at 20-21%?

anyway looks great, keep it up

This is by far my best bag yet! It is not filled yet so the shape and size are a tad bit misleading, but i wanted to post it because it is the only thing i have created yet that does not look like a piece of crap cut into 32 different pieces
