Forged e-mail / new day's resolution

Post by mc »

Someone recently forged at least one e-mail, to give the impression that it was sent by me, claiming responsibility for forging posts last year on modified under the name Paul Munger.

While I do believe that this was a chickenshit move by a chickenshit footbagger (whoever he or she may be), I'm going to put that aside for a moment.

Clearly, this person thinks that I take this web site, and myself, way too seriously, and I guess there's some truth to that, especially so in the last few months.

So, I resolve to not "take issue" with people or events on this web site any longer. It's only served to alienate a few people, and it hasn't been exclusively the people I intended to alienate.

So, modified, sorry for making a stink about trivial things. I think we'll all be happier if I stop. At least I will.

Hope to kick with you at Funtastiks as well, Matt.

I've spoken to Emily and several mods about the Paul Munger incident last year, and they've had the IP address tracked. It's obvious that this "forged e-mail" is surely a failed hoax since you can't sway what is already known. It's just a shame that there are those in our community that don't have the humility to let matters be and have to tackle their troubles with cheap tricks to get their way (no matter how futile it can be).
