funtastiks isnt looking good...that week is by far the busiest week of work ever, because thousands of college students move back into boston and its my job to make fuckin keys for all of them and rekey their locks, etc. its actually started already...ive worked more in this week than any other time in my life.

the only plus side to that is im making bank which leads me to my next point....

me and jenn just bought a camera online!! for the strict number 1 purpose of making footbag videos. now i finally have sole control over the footage output of the boston scene, so it will go from nothing to like a video or clip every week or so at least.

he's doin pretty good...he was outta town for the entire summer but he's back in town now and supposed to be coming to our regular sessions. im uploading a video by monday that will have his return shred in it.

BIG NEWS

Beantown is now a major destination on the shred map of america, with some cooperative sponsorship from dale w. from san diego who is doing great work with ShredGlobalDotcom definitely check it out, every video i post here will be posted there as well with all sorts of updates and crap all being in one place. they're also working on a moves database that will hopefully someday rival the expanse and usefullness of flipsiders (i would be tiltless right now if flipsider never existed) and footbagdotorgs combined.

so keep an eye on that and watch out for more videos to come out...like i said im done editing a goodass joint from last weekend showing the largest weekend session in boston since...hah the beantown throwdown.

oh and for myself-

ive been icing my knee and ankle multiple times every single day and trying to rest more, which is nothing new and will probably produce the same resluts, BUT now that i have health insurance im 100% definitely going to get an MRI no matter how much it costs to find out exactly whats going on in my knee and then going to do either physical therapy, surgery, or both until i can comfortably hit whatever i want footbagwise and not have to worry about reinjury. dead frikkin serious this time. its on.

Good things Pete. After you called me this morning telling me about that sponsorship thing it's just been a great day. I went to recitation, understood the material, came back, ate about 10 bowls of cereal while watching last nights episode of The Office on hulu and then watched some shred videos and went out and had a session.

I've been thinking about pdx drifterx3>drifterx3>rpt for about a week now and today I attempted it. Unfortantly all I could muster was pdx drifterx3>drifter bs and drifterx3>pdx drifter bs. It's a start. As for highlights...

-toe drifter>pdx drifter>drifter>pdx mirage>rpt first try.
-gyro illusion, legover, pickup and mirage all bsos.
-spinning whirl bsos
-34 contact string to end the session with 8 contacts of shuffle to start it off

Anyone want to play at Jazz Fest tomorrow on Columbus Ave right by Northeastern? It's gonna be crowded as hell with lots of people paying too much for food and drink so chances of people giving out spare change in their pockets should be fairly high if anyone wants to busk.

No worries Pete, the vid's great the way it is. Kevin was really going off that day so it's good that you got most of his stuff on film. Dude's gonna be nasty.

Session with Pete and Ben Little today. It was Ben's first session back after a long break due to injury/bronchitis and it was also the first time I'd seen Pete throw down a bit since he hurt his ankle early in the month. Unfortunately, I had a really late start this morning and showed up an hour into the sesh so both Pete and Ben stopped about a half hour after I started playing and ended up juggling for another half hour or so. Ben's game is still looking good for not playing for a month or so, as is Pete's. Neither one pushed it too hard since they're just getting back into it but in another week or so, the BSC should be back up to snuff in no time.

After Ben and Pete lleft I played for another hour or so and managed to pump out...

-pdx drifter x3>drifter x3 bs (getting closer)
-pdx drifter>ripwalk>rpt
-osis>inspinning clip>osis>osis>inspinning clip>osis>osis>inspinning handcatch
-drifter, pdx drifter.vortex all bsos

I worked stepping and fairy a bit too so those are coming along slowly which is cool. Ugh, enough procrastinating, I really need to get some studying in this weekend.

Peace

For real. I thought the same thing.

Woah. Thanks.

So how badly is shit blowing up right now? Between awesome footbaggers coming down like Ben Cooke and Nasty Nate (8O), the new members, shredglobal scwag, Ben little playing again, camera, videos and possibly td2, things are getting even more ridiculous then last year.

Procrastinating studying...

Highlights from session today:
-vortex>mobius (2nd time)
-almost mobius b2b (soooo close)
-ps whirl and tomahawk bsos

Other than that most of my strings were pretty short and boring. I need to concentrate on going for longer runs than trying to hit hard links all the time. Everyone else was playing pretty well today. Kevin had some mad long strings with whirls, and drifters bs and was throwing down torque midstring. Pete was going off with some shuffly runs. Once he gets his knee/ankle checked out he'll be killing it in no time. Ben L was tearing it up with long strings and pinchers all over the place as usual. Overall it was a really fun session. Looking forward to kicking with Nate L. next weekend. 8O :D :D

Peace

awesome session with nate linscott yesterday. nothing that amazing was hit, it was just really cool to kick with someone that who's style ive appreciated for about as long as ive been playing, and of course he turned out to be about as chill as a dude could be, which i also expected.
Ben Little was playing pretty well, he's in the same boat as myself (recovering from a fairly serious injury) but he was doing some good long strings and looked consistant and pretty smooth. doug laid down a few impressive strings (especially that one with a lot of drifters, d...it was good, especially your form) and nasty was...how else could i describe it other than nasty, especially since he took a break from the game to be a guitar-strumming lounge-about  also noteworthy, as i mentioned to him already, its a VERY rare session that the person im kicking with shows me a move or concept ive NEVER seen, or even thought of, and he did just that. wish i could kick with him all the time.
i had my best post-injury session yet, which also of course was subsequently my best session since....the first week of september 8O  i HATE being injured... but i have a doctors appointment already to get the ball rolling on some PT. had a few long strings and i could actually use my strong clipper so it was good.
we took about 35 minutes worth of video, its already captured onto the laptop, expect a video within a week or so. the lighting was good (indoors) and there was a lot of good stuff so im really looking forward to editing this one, and im expecting a lot of people to watch it too.
thanks for kickin nate, hopefully see ya again sometime
