Holy S***! Paul Burke
When was this taken? This is hilarious to me! I'm suprised he didn't talk about ORB freestyle, the club he created to compete with RCS. He's trying to focus on glow-in-the-dark footbags or something. I don't know, this kid is crazy. I can guarantee he has never hit a nemesis. And he's refering to Ricky with the double spinning (who hasn't played in a couple of years, but he's out of jail now, YEA!)
All he does is talk S**t about RCS these days. Allegedly I stole the club from him. Although it was always more of Alex Zerbe's brain child than anything else. He hasn't shown his face at anything RCS since like 04. This is classic! Thank you for posting this!

His name is Paul James Burke and if you ever meet him don't be nice just run
He is somewhat infamous in the footbag world depending on who your talking to. All I know is he is weird ************************ He's all fairies and sprinkles inside.
But he does have good footbag style.
EDIT
A little to harsh, I really don't like this guy because the first time I went to kick with someone who was decent at footbag he was a total ass to me.
Also he has not hit nemesis

LOL I was thinking the same question. I will give him credit for saying footbag freestyle is not hacky sack, expressing that it is something positive and personal, and having a positive attitude. Doesn't mean he's not a douche but I would not say so based on this video alone.ThisIsFate wrote:Can he hit nemesis?fatbagger wrote:His name is Paul James Burke and if you ever meet him don't be nice just run![]()

I love this guys descriptions. He's a vet for sure and I can relate to what he explains.
Thanks Manna!
A d-bag?
I don't understand?
Edit: Upon watching again, I am even more pumped about this guy. These are the types of characters that built this sport from nothing. Innovators. He's talking about shit that people are still getting excited about today, accept he was apart of it 10 years ago. Awesome! Like unlocking a lost piece of footbag history.

First think about how to practice or don't bother practicing.

Yeah,
I didn't want to be that guy, but I have to agree. People with this guy's enthusiasm had a major hand in the evolution of this sport. I doubt he has hit nemesis because he is neither Polish or under 25, but I think he is merely trying to showcase how cool the sport can be to a new group of people.
His "boss-swag" manners are another story. Broseph over there's got his own thing going on. NC.

A little clarification:
- Rain City Shred is Seattle's primary footbag club that has been in existence for 10-odd years (I can't remember when Alex Zerbe and Jane Jones (at the time) started it).
- Paul Burke's primary contribution to footbag was his lunacy.
- Paul Burke's only footbag record is the number of people he has severely estranged and/or pissed off.
- Paul Burke, the "vet for sure," is the only person who has ever cussed me out for not respecting my elders enough!
- I, or anyone else in Rain City Shred, could easily talk shit about Paul for hours -- everyone in Rain City Shred who has met him has their own uniquely depressing tale about Paul.
While it's likely there were cool people in the formative years of footbag who had fanciful and endearing aspirations, I reserve my veneration for them until I've met them. Respect should be earned, not given unquestioningly.
Incidentally, yes - Paul's a total fucking douchebag!

Wow that's some deep seeded hatred. I trust/respect what your saying.
If it were me in the camera mans position I would still be interested in what Paul was saying. I didn't find that he was talking like a douche bag. I don't think it was necessary to make a post attacking someones social communication or body language/style especially without clarifying why as you, Sam, did.
I guess it's concrete then, he's a D-Bag. Or maybe I'll cut him some slack and reserve some veneration for him, until I meet him.
