Chinchilla

I'll be getting a Chinchilla soon, most likely tomorrow night. Does anyone else have one and are they good pets. I saw some videos and other people say they are good pets. I can't wait to get him.

Get a dog or a cat!

Seriously I have not had a chinchilla i had a guinea pig and hampster. I will never go down that path again.

They(cats dog) are a little more difficult/expensive in the beggining depending on breed but after about a year they are so much easier to maintain. Rodent(s) you have to clean the cage, change water VERY often. If you dont it gets algae an you have to buy a new bottle. Change bedding every week. Food and vitamins. Hope I didnt dissuade you to much

My experience with cats and dogs has been way better

Well I already have a cat (my brothers) and a dog which my parents bought. My sisters have had plenty of hamsters and they currently have fish and one has a rabbit. I'm the only one that hasn't had a pet since 1st grade so I want to get one. I've been doing a lot of research on Chinchillas and they seem like great pets.

sounds like my old house, we had over one hundred rats, mice, a chinchilla, two cats, at one point a dog, plenty of fish, and various other rodents including hamsters naked mole rats, and my sister had a few naked rats, i forget what thats called, somethign egyptian i think.

my dad had a chinchilla when I was a boy. I remember it being very soft and nice to the touch. I also remember it being antisocial. Not a lot of fun to interact with.

chinchillas are a pain in the ass. me and my girl got one and all it does is chew, knock over things, shit, and run away when you try and hold it

I have had 2 friend who ended up letting thier rodent or rabbit take over- their houses were NASTY. Keep that thing in a cage and change the flooring as reccomended

Already got a cat and it's a lazy piece of crap. I'd like a cat to come sit on your lap while you watch TV or something. This cat just sleeps all day and doesn't do shit.
