Colours For Stitching

Post by sanuke okumatzu »

I've been stitching like a madman the past few days ( good way to make money in college ) and I've grown a little tired of the 5 colours I have ( petit pois, country creme, pink, red, and green ) and would like some more variety. Could anyone give me some suggestions on some nice colours to buy/use for bags?

ive got several colors i cannot identify as i got them in a sampler pack, but the ones i did purchase by name that are strong, vibrant, and generally good are

splash blue
mayan (very supple dark blue, usually on clearance from fieldsfabrics)
punch (great reddish purple)
burnt orange
animal print (these are always cool, and pretty thin too)

if you want a lot of variety, pick up the 18 piece sampler pack from fields. and if you do order a la carte, i wouldn't recommend tulip. some stitchers have gotten good batches, but a lot of the time tulip pills and forms holes very quickly. shame, since its a nice color.
