Tripple ATW ...
Tripple ATW ...
So this trick is widely known as Trixie; I really like that name lmao,
My question is where is Trairy?*(making this up) going three times from out to in?? i havent seen a video with anyone doing this.. has anyone else? Plus, if people do doubles out to in (or double downs) so easy.. (the good people, obviously not everyone) -- shouldnt out to in be fairly easy?
which one is easier?
Yeah my reason im saying this is because i was trying double downs, over and over until my groin hurt like hell, rested a day, and tried them a little more, rested a day, and then didnt try, then i was like ohh yeah!, and someone said, holy shit! when i hit it for like the second time ever.. then they all told me to do a tripple, i laughed and said sure ill try, well i got actually somewhat close, and that didnt make sense, im not really that good, i can hardly do a double setting from a pixie, its really uncontrolled..
One more than on some trick names help, is a paradox butterfly possible? PS butterfly? also a PDX pickup is like your going to do a PDX whirl.. but catch it on your toe instead of the op clipper.. right?

Trixie would be triple pixie or triple in-out>op toe in one move. I would assume "Trairy" has been hit before but I also have never seen it myself.
I don't believe a pdx butterfly is possible. It's just far butterfly, or infinity. This would mean you can't really do a legover or pickup paradox. I assume because it doesn't have any radical body changes, pivots to constitute any paradox elements such as pdx mirage or better yet pdx torque.

as James said: trixie is a triple pixie and not (to my knowledge) widely known as a triple i>o atw.
This is the first time I've ever read the term trairy too, although I understand you mean it to be triple fairy. I'd assume it has been hit but it would be considerably harder than either triple atw, double over down or triple over down. I'd guess Ales, Anz or Jorden would be good candidates for having hit it.

Yeah, thats kind what i was thinking, PDX legover would be left clipper set then right foot leg over, if they count it as PDX, it is a little bit harder that way, they might if they cout PDX illusion
Butterfly PDX would make sense if you set it from left clipper, then back to left clipper, I'm not sure whats thats called, but its way to easy for a four add trick.. and symposuim would be way to easy i think too, idk perhaps not.

But legover can't get pdx because the stalling foot is the same as the dexing foot
When i started playing footbag I swore I won't get dragged into the PDX debate, I'll just accept the majority call. So beyond this comment, I respectfully bow away from the conversation.

It's not about stalling foot or clipper or anything. It's all very complicated and I think some important people are working to get rid of it and everything else we know, in the best, most creative way possible.
Toe-set inspinning mirage is pdx, but isn't set from clipper and the dex is not with the setting foot (as opposed to pdx mirage which is the same setting foot as the dex). PDX discussions should have their own thread
And, on topic, Ales was certainly one of the first players to hit TATW consistently, and he does it out-to-in:

PS: I win this thread. And it's over.
PPS: I'm pretty sure I saw Jorden hit triple fairy in a video (or in person?)

Yeahh!! 2002 !
Thanks eric! BUT, you do not win the thread yet, you didnt tell me how to help my double arounds from in to out, that second dex is sloppier than hell.. You have a ½ win right now.. actually ill add ¼ to that for the PDX discussion elsewhere, so you almost win.. just make me better.

Sounds to me like you need to drill basics more, build muscles until they are ready for certain tricks. Also if you are going to try the datw, make sure your set is close to your body and your foot is going in 2 perfect circles around the bag and not ovals. If a trick is hurting your groin, you either aren't ready for it, or you are doing it wrong. Footbag shouldnt hurt.
Also, if moves like entourage (double pixie legover) and double fairy legover are very hard, then why would you assume triple pixie or triple fairy has been hit? I havent seen it, nor heard of it. If anyone I would expect anssi. So if he happens by this thread, I would certainly be glad to know if these have been hit or not. The window is incredibly small to be able to switch over after doing three dexes with one leg. Prove me wrong please.

if you know what triple pixie looks like, why did you think it was triple around the world?Swizzle wrote:lol, i had seen the tripple pixie from at least three people, so i knew it had been hit, but i had never seen triple fairy, so i was wondering..
he put the URL of the youtube video in his post, and out "" on either side of the URL.Hey can someone tell me how eric got his video to appear on the thread?
you could also put the URL of the youtube video in your post, highlight it, and click the button above the post text input box that says "Youtube", and that will put those tags on either side of the URL for you.

triple pixie and triple fairy set and dex with one leg, and catch with the other.
triple around the world is set, dexed, and caught with the same leg. It is called triple around the world for either direction, and you can specify like this -> TATW in-out, TATW out-in.

Yeah, I'm with Matt Cross on this one - my money's on Triage.
I'm real glad you posted that little vid, though, Erik -- its a little random, but the last second of that vid switches to a different scene -- my old basement in Boulder, Colorado. It must have been a little bit of footage from the 1st Colorado Shred Symposium. I recognized my standy of Austin Powers, and the wall hangings too. On a side note, thats also the room where Red Husted first hit Shooting Star, and its just under the garage where Dave Holton hit the first Alpine Whirlygig (though he didn't call it that
). I miss that house
It was too damn far out of the way, a real pain in the ass since my only transportation was a bicycle - just not that good of a location for me, but we did have some pretty good times there anyway. Eli and Dave edited together Churney & Friends in that basement too, and probably also The California Connection. Memories...

Yeah I was going to say I thought that was triage too. Definitely starts whirly. I thought that room was from the 'California Connection' maybe? Where it says Tsunami Jani. There was a classroom too.
edit: ok i tried watching California Connection. Plugged in a VCR and put the tape in and it just made a groaning noise. Tried the other never used anymore but still plugged in and used as a clock VCR and it groaned too and said leave me alone sonny I'm retired. I guess I'm lucky I got my tape out.
And also I don't know if CSS
