Lavers be ripping me laces!

I hate it.
You think that some shoe repair shops can replace them?

So, Lavers are ripping your laces? Seems like that may be the inside eyelets' fault. I can't really describe it without proper pictures. But, on the inside, the eyelets have little "fold-out" pieces. Like the 12mm one in row 6 in this picture.

I find that they sometimes come unfolded and will hook onto my laces. All you have to do is fold them back down. If they won't stay down, use some Shoe Goo or fabric glue to keep them down.

I probably used the wrong term. Not necessarily "strong," just a glue that will stick to fabric well. Shoe Goo will do this, as will any other kind of fabric glue. You want something that, when it dries, will be flexible. This will help keep the eyelets down while smoothing it so your laces aren't being sawed at. I hope it helps.

so heres the lacing

apparently here is an eyelet with almost half fold-outs come off

and here is the biggest problem. i tried to press all the pieces to place with pliers. didn't work out and it's killing my laces (and not letting me tighten them up enough)

I think it's time for me to go to the shoe repair shop->

I skate and can tell by the looks of your shoe that a lil of the green color is worn off on the side.M4rQu5 wrote:I hate it.

A common problem when your skating in shoes is the laces ripping, if you are skating them super glue the side stichings. and put glue around the eyelets.
That or buy these and never look back - http://www.scoffskateboarding.com/skatelaces.html
Yes they are SKATElaces but work AMAZING and are unlike any other laces youve tried before.
They will not break!
