Which sack to get?

So I know this probably gets asked quite often, but I've been reading and I still not sure which to get.... I am kind of a beginner (can some some stalls and only about 40 max kicks at one time).

I currently have a 60 something panel suede bag with beads that is getting worn but works pretty well for the stuff I'm doing and my skill level. I HAD a suede sand bag that my damn dog ripped up haha...

So currently I want to get a mr sandbag and another one. Which mr. to get?? One thing though...I'm not sure I want a bag with so few stiches such as a sandbag. I was also thinking of either:

- An Abshire (mini or regular??) I'm not worried about break in i will buy with it broken in
- Bear bag (hybrid?)

What do you guys think? Any others you recommend? Oh, this is just for fun not competition or tournament

Yo man. a mr sandbag and the one you just linked are pretty similar bags. They are good to learn with and are a lot cheaper than hand stitched 32 panel bags. It seems that you can buy a bit more pricey bag, so I would recommend asking some of the stitchers here to make you a bag tailored to your needs. Usually a slightly bigger and less filled 32 is a good bag to learn with. I can recommend David Clavens and Aaron Shepard for making such bags, but there are many many stitchers here that would likely help you. Just ask some of them by way of private messages.

i would recomend a MC bag from matt cross. get a two stitch, they will help you through your kicks and into tricks.

Yea, his bags look pretty good as well. So, what is the durability like on MC bags? I would prefer something that plays well but is also pretty durable so it's not ripping fast. You recommended 2-stitch. DOes 3-stitch mean more stitching and if so, would it be more durable?

Anyone else you recommend??!

Is there a place where I can compare/see Aaron's and David's bags? Choices and desicions! So you guys think these would be good for beginner?

I believe that the high ratio of fullness of Aaron's bags might make them a bit hard to use for a beginner.

How long a bag lasts (in reference to your durability question) has more to do with how a footbag is treated than its durability. If you keep it clean, pick it up with your hands, and don't violently mush it around in your hands, it will last a lot longer.

So, you don't need to worry about buying a bag that is durable. you need to worry about taking good care of your nice footbags. If the material wasn't durable enough, the experienced stitchers wouldn't use it. Not to say that we always make perfect material choices, but, by and large, the materials we use are tried and true.

I have an Abshire and a Bear bag. The Bear bag is a bit smaller and heavier, but both play great. Can't go wrong either way. Both bags are top of the line.

Why do you say it's crap? you mean because of getting it broken in?

MINE is crap because its a high gathered bag (i dont like that), maybe too high for its size. even with its 55g (fearless 55) of tungsten (i think), its was too light and too full. So, its very hard to stall (rolly bag). so i decided to change the filler to my old crappy steel shot. its not evenbetter. whatever i do with it, it sucks. i thats why i think MINE is crap.

If you wanted somthing different, then you should let me know. I can make any type of bag. Any size, weight or stitch. If you wanted a floppy bag, I can do that as well. Slamming my bags before you have dealt with me personally, is very unfair. I am always willing to work something out.

sorry for that, but a was kinda beginner so i didnt know what i was doing, we made a trade and you prolly didnt receive a great bag anyway, it was prolly filled with big steel shots. right now, if i would want a bag from you Richard, i would ask for specific things .. i wouldnt take a fearless. even if i dont like it, i still can say that its the roundest bag i have, and i just dont think its made for beginners ... unless your amaretta bags are different (which i havent try)

No worries, I only use tungsten these days and have changed the stitching a little. The bag is better than when I started making them.
