past and present bag

i think it would be nice to have a threath when stitchers post one of their first bag ever stiched and where they are now. I just got the idea by browsing the 15th first pages of "bags you've made" and i saw my 6th ... i know all the know stitchers put their first bag in here (Hania, MC, Cod, Mosher, etc etc.)

first ever, made out of real suede, filled with BBs. this thing is bombproof. sewn with thick cord.

subsequent leather and suede bags, the purple is thick ultrasuede and my first three stitch

counterclockwise from the golfball, my first facile bag, my first shred bag (2nd facile), and my first mini

some recent work, the blue and purple atomic is for a trade and the other two are current choice bags

fun thread!

first ever facile one. i remember that ilja mitrovanov from estonia send me that material back then.

a few hundred bags later, countless mini adjustments and many broken needles later. its a 3 and a 2 stitch, most recent style:

First bag ever.. but I only had enough material to finish half of it.. made of free swatches from Field's

First two complete bags. I was really proud of these at the time.
Although I've changed my pattern a few times, it's come back to one similar to these.

A little old now.. but still my favorite bag so far. I remember when I thought that first one looked awesome..
It still amazes me how stitching hasn't lost that rewarding feeling over the past year and a half.

This is great to see everyones progress!
my first two bags:
first bag i stitched each line with different amounts of stitching, its a 2,3, and 4-stitch all in one, hehe. the second was a 4 stitch that i still play with

and both were small.

i guess i should put a pic of my best stitched bag for my progress...

and my first pattern invention... radiation triclaw!

#300 or so. one of the last ones i made

a few template changes, the way i wanted bags to play, and filler adjustments. really not alot of variance in the bags... gather and filler were the biggest things that i changed.
