My condolensces Tom. I know the feeling all too well when my sis' pup took her journey. She was 15 1/2 years of age.
I'm glad you had fun at Portland. I'll do my best to come to Chicago for NYJ (and to give you a good bro-hug).

I've played 2 times in the past 3 and a half weeks.
It is cold and wet, but the real thing is I don't have motivation. Family stuff, weather and Nathan injured doesn't help I'm sure. I think a good schedule will fix this.
Thanks for the thoughts and acknowledgments. I set up my pup's ashes/urn up high on the China Cabinet surrounded by pictures.

Ok so I cleared out a room, mopped it and got a carpet that might or mightn't work. It's got an awesome animal on it, but the color's iffy. I need to get those no slip rug thingies that you put in between rug and floor cuz now it's sliding much. Also it's not as flat as the one I had last year, but that one got wet/broken and thrown out; I put some heavy objects on it to straighten it out - it was rolled up.
Also that room is so plain that I might need to spice it up with one of posters that you can make by printing out a bunch of individual pages or parts of a large kick ass motivational thing. I'm thinking a huge tubgirl should do the trick.
Halloween tomorrow. No one's really in the spirit, but I am. Halloween's my favorite. Man I wish I had everyone together on the same page. I have options for parties and junk, but I always like it when everyone's together.

Me too. And yeah, Halloween is the best. I have some friends who are going to just spend the night at home like a regular night; it seems like such a waste. I wish I knew the type of people who throw costume parties at different points in the year.CIC flurry wrote:Halloween tomorrow. No one's really in the spirit, but I am. Halloween's my favorite. Anyway, Happy Halloween! Take pictures!

Halloween was a success. I met up friends in Wicker Park and their were so many costumes. My favorite was Zack Galafankis' character from the hangover - fake beard and fake baby strapped to chest and sunglasses. I just threw on some gun holsters from last year. Pic is on my FB.
Footbag-wise I've played every day so far. That's 4 days in a row, which is more than all of October. My body's a bit sore now. Also throwing some push-ups in there. Just starting with single move drills like DATW, terrage, DSO, atom smashers and eggbeaters.
Kicked outside 2x. My inside spot still sucks I need to get some bigger carpet and the non slip thing I have under it isn't big enough. I just have a few layered rugs now which helps keep them in place, but they're not flat, and my ankle might wig out on it.
Today I wanted to throw down some atoms again so I threw them in Zach's drill. blur>atom>blender 5x BS.
I wasn't gonna post frequently, but maybe i will to encourage others to keep up for NYJ.

I was gonna hop on my bike and ride to the park and play footpouch, but the bike seat was jacked and it took a while and I couldn't even find the right tool. i was already tired from waking up earlier to enjoy the NICE FUCKIN DAY
, so at this point I didn't feel like playing. Especially since there was no one to play with. But I did anyway at 410, just enough time to kick before it got dark right before 500. And I'm SO GLAD I DID. It's always like that - I just feel better when I play even if I think I don't want to.
drilled in the alley. A new part of mobius clicked. Hit half of Zach's drill BS 5x pretty easy.
edit:
19 terrages in a row (with slight pauses)
8 Double Switch Overs in a row (with slight pauses)

Was tired but still hadn't played footbag so laid down and took a nap for 30 minutes. Knew if I broke my streak of playing every day I would do it again. Got up and session-ed at midnight.
Did some push-ups to warm up a bit since, even though it's nice during the day these past 2 weeks, it gets chilly at night. Turns out it's 36 degrees outside! but no wind. Could see breath and cars and garbage cans were frosted. But I was warm - 3 shirts.
Vortex was SO easy. Eggbeater>toe spinning mirage is very fun. Hit it 10/11 times on one side.

Still have been playing every day aside from taking 3 days off a week or so ago for my hip. Kicked with James again, last time was before I went to Portland 8-o! He bought a house and I'm going to visit him soon with Reile for a weekend prolly. Broke though, so we'll see.
Zach broke his ankle today
Gonna have to use the secret remedy of Parmesian. Why you red underlining that word Firefox? I will punch your froat.
I was warming up with toe spinning mirages and then I tacked on eggbeaters to the front of that and made it a link. Past week been warming up with zooming clippers then blender>ss butter. Blender is the bomb! I was schoolin Zach's drill in halves: blur>atom>blender, and I've repeated it a few times and once on camera when with James. Also lately atom>egg>toe spinning mirage. My whole body is always slightly sore.
Today I almost hit a quad dex! At the end of the sesh. Indoor barefoot sesh because shoo-gooed my shoes and sanded the not-fully-cured-yet goo flush to shoe so it doesn't peel off. So I always thought sailing DLO would be a legit quad dex, even though blurriest swirl is an option too. I think a 4-dex is a good overall goal for me in freestyle. So I got close 2 or 3 times, and I hit a dozen or more sailing ss mirages. Also in the middle I decided to try triple around the world and I hit it first try! So today is the 2nd day I've hit it, though i hit it the first day a year or two ago and 4-5 times.
There's not going to be carpet at NYJ. Sucks. Assuming we get the night room there'll be some there. I need to get paid cash money to have for parmesians and bubble shakes and hotel for NYJ and fuckin gas. Shet!

Hi Guys!
1st day of december and kicking outside. My indoor spot has a tiny 5'x4' carpet and can't play normally on it.
I'mma try to make a really short video of several move>flurry combos I have to do.
We need an event to look forward to after this for FEB or MARch. Vegas? Las Vegas? It's warm there, and I miss Evan and Ben anyway. Seriously because I don't know if I'll have any motivation to play if I have no one to kick with and no events to go. i think the entire sport of footbag is suffering for lack of events. There's no glue baby. Major events in the US are US Open and NYJ. no more funtasktiks after next year no more css no more chilly philly. Montreal Spring Jam is a good one.
